Has anyone tried anything else other than the Brawler Elite professions? I don't really like the thought of Pikeman, swordsman, or fencer. Has anyone tried Rifleman, or pistols?

I'm a fencer now but I did carbineer and I liked it even before they fixed it up a bit. Now a friend of mine who is a Master Doc/master carbineer loves it. I also have a CM friend who is doing carbineer. With a good stamina buff it doesnt even look like the carbine has a ham cost.

Take your pick. Fencer, Swordsman, TKA, Pikeman, Rifleman are all good with doctor.

Right now I'm a master doc/rifleman. Master Rifleman is really something, its amazingly fast, high damage (high mind cost), its a good combo. I did Master Carb with doc, and that's no good. Master Pistoleer with Doc is fine. Fan Shot is a great one.
I warn you about rifleman, its nearly painful until master. When you hit master its like you changed classes. An 8.5 speed T-21 becomes a 1.0 speed headshot3 monster. Its worth holding out for master.
Get flushing shot 2, get a geno rifle, hunt rancors and level 900k in one set of buffs with a couple friends.

Yes, I know this question is overkill. I have recently got TKM, and I dont really like it. I wanted to know other than the Brawler professions, what works best with Master Doctor? I definately want to keep my Master Doctor as well as a good combat profession.

Rifleman was awesome, but I dumped it because without something or someone to tank for me, it's just a pain to be constantly trying to kite the really big stuff, and if the big stuff gets too close, you're screwed.
So I decided to try being my own tank.
TKM was very cool, but I dumped it because some of that big stuff I just mentioned is 100% resistant to kinetic.
Doing swordsman now, and it's not bad, although even a good speed sliced power hammer is painfully slow. At least it is a different damage type. Haven't really spent enough time with it though to know which of the big stuff I want is 100% resistant to blast damage...it I find that too much of it is 100% to blast, then I might switch to fencer and go with a stun baton.
And CH ain't bad actually. If you take a pet with 12k ham, 60% resist to kinetic and energy and strong poison, then buff it, it's pretty cool. Boring since all you do is watch, but pretty cool nonetheless.

Rifleman all the way. The grind is total suck, but when you get that master box, its a whole new level ofheavy/fastfirepower
