Okay, I must be doing something wrong. I was just looking at another thread and they're getting multiple amazing successes on a single item. /eek
I've only got 11 exp points, but I do have +10 assembly. How do you guys get amazing successes? Do you just keep crafting over and over until you get them?
I usually experiment with three points at a time until I max one of the bars.. at which point I'll do two points, then one point, or whatever is needed to max it. Then I'll experiment on something else, three points at a time. If I get a all Great successes, I keep it and make a batch.
Is there some trick to getting Amazing successes? Do the foods make a difference? Does the crafting city specialization really make that much difference? Or is it just a lot of repeated attempts until you get lucky?

The higher the experiment xp you have the more successes you'll get. I'm a 2234 Doc and get Amazing and great successes 9 times out of 10, andI usually experiment with 2 points at a time, sometimes I'll do 3 or 4 but only if the success rate doesn't matter much (on stims that I'll be using for tumblers).
If you are lower, you should try experimenting with just 1 point. This will give you a better success rate; remember to check the success percent at the right. I usually wouldn't go over 48% or so, that's when I would usually fail.
Of course I heard that the rate of sucess is pretty low forsomeone beginning to experimentanyway. Keep trying and you will get better, remember to keep moving up the levels to Master Doc, that will get you higher success rates.

Or a city with medical bonus's, makes a huge difference. doing single experimentations ive gotten up to 5 amazing success on some crafts.

Using a crafting station that is 110 (found in droids), Exp and Assembly enhances clothes, no BF or wounds, in a research city, and a new one I found Bespin Port (lessens your chances of critical failures).
I also experiment 2 points at a time. that way you don't put such a high risk on your experiments.

I have +27 to assembly and +25 to experimentation and I use top notch resources in a research city on a perfect 15.0 tool and a perfect 45.0 station.
I also craft tons of schems till I get what I want.

its a drink that can give you an experimentation bonus, I was buying some that just had a time limit but now all i find is ones with +X to your next roll. yoiu can also use polyon(SP) cake.

The droid's 110 rating is on the medical module, not the crafting module.

I experiment the whole bat at once and keep trying until I get an amazing success or two.

Here's a little secret from the Armorsmith community. Never experiment 1,2,3 points or the whole bar. ALWAYS experiment 4 points at a time. Why you ask? Because if you experiment 4 points at a time and get double amazing successes you end up with an extra point for experimentation. If you experiment less or more than 4points you are wasting the bonus that is derived from getting double amazing success. Do the math. 8X7=56 but with double amazing successes you end up with 8X8=64 for the 8 points used. Frees up an extra point to experiment elsewhere. And yes, you'll have to sit for literally hours to get it to happen but you will have a product that is clearly superior to those that don't use this method for experimentation.
