On Talus. Naturally, it doesn't necessarily spawn near water though...go figure.

Looking for waypoints for high concentrations of Talusian waters.

I have setup a new Water vendor on Chilastra and am curious on what kind of prices you pay for your Talusian Water and what stats are you looking for most in it.

Any help would be appreciated.

it depends on the quality and of the recent spawns. I would say 10-20 cpu, maybe 25 for 990+ OQ stuff.

It really depends on your server.

The only stat that matters is OQ. Talus water, at least on Flurry, often has run well over 985. So finding good water is easy.

Also, we need very little water (only 6 units per stim) solittle water goes a long way.

Personally I would never pay more than 3-5 cpu even for the best water.

More often than not it is the dant berries that make the difference. So I spend more on berries than water.

Add to that that most people buy buffs and use very little stims the stim market is not so great anymore. This may change if buff, armor, etc. get nerfed a bit. In that case stim use will go up and water prices ill rise.

Hmm I would never sell even bad quality water for less than 4 or 5 cpu, as getting spots over 53% is often impossible /shrug

Using a 13 BER water on a 53% density and paying 2 cpu for power your costs are 0.6 cr/unit extracted(mant + power). If you add in some costs for moving the harv around then round it up to 1 cpu. (ignore the capital costs since they do not depreciat)

So if you can sell it for 3 cpu your still tripling your investment.

That is more than the markup on the finished product (stims) which have far more labor involved.

Someone needs to open a Talusian water vendor on your server. We have someone that sells Tatooiian Fiber and Lokian Wild Wheat at 2.5 cpu (all shifts). The water would be in slightly less demand (not an ideal grinder material) and you can't really get concentrations over 66% (usually around 50%), so you can assume you will harvest 33% less of it per lot. Additionally, it shifts faster than wheat (same as fiber).

Seems to me someone could make a very nice living selling 10 lots worth of current shift water at 5 cpu all the time. They would only have to "work" basically one day a week when the water shifts.

Personally, I charge 7.5 cpu for talusian water (I charge 5 cpu for planet-specific resources and I only harvest it when it is over 900 OQ, though admittedly I keep anything over 975 OQ for my personal stock).

Honestly, I haven't seen many people in need of Talus water lately on my server, as we got two very good spawns 2 months ago. So I guess I overestimated the price, but I would guess that if we didn't have any good spawn for a few months those two spawns would sell at 15+ cpu easily.

Talusian water is an unusual little resource. It rotates pretty quickly (every 7 to 11 days). It only depends on a single stat (OQ). And OQ is never under 500. As a result, it isn't terribly difficult to find a good spawn. Sure, you may go 2 months between spawns of 900+, but you are unlikely to go without for 4 months straight. And if that weren't enough, you only use 6 of them at a time compared to 18 for wheat and fiberplast. Of all the advacd doctor resoruces, this is the easiest one to get quality in.

Despite all that, I can't sell it too cheap. It *is* a pain to harvest due to the slow extraction rates.

Thanks everyone for your input, currently I am selling it at 4 cpu and it seems to be selling decently in the last day or two even if it isnt stuff above 900. I will continue to feel out the market as best as I can and adjust accordingly.
