Seems to be quite the party going on in the Medic Forum with people who are uninformed as to how the GCW Changes effect us healers.

Yesturday when I logged in, I was automatically set to Combatant.

So with that being said, Here are the rules.

Special forces..(pvp enabled)

Can NOT heal members of an opposing faction...(except those on leave)

Can heal special forces,Combatants of the same faction

Can heal "on-leave" players of any faction

Can heal civilians...

Combatants..(non pvp...but will still be attacked by imp/reb npc's,dependant on faction side)

Can NOT heal members of an opposing faction (except those on leave)

Can NOT heal special forces players of the same faction (pvp enabled)

Can heal combatants of the SAME faction

Can heal "on-leave" players of any faction

Can heal civilians

On-leave (non pvp.... and will not be attacked by imp/reb npc's..dependant on faction)

Can NOT heal players who are special forces or combatant enabled

Can heal "on-leave" players of any faction

Can heal Civilians

Civilians...(also known as neutral)

Can NOT heal players who are special forces or combatant enabled

Can heal "on-leave " players of any faction

Can heal civilians......

This also applies to rezzing people....so beware!!!

None of this applies to buffing people....you can still buff whoever you like

So does that mean that a civilian can now buff Special Forces of either faction? That would be a change from the prior policies which would not let neutrals buff overts of either faction...

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

Yes it's a change. But from what I understand from all the discussion threads about this patch. Civilians can buff anyway. However they can only buff. I'm not a Civlian, so I can't personally test this, so it's probably I matter of debate. But as far as I understand it, everyone can buff with the exception of Overt to Overt.

according to thunderheart in this post, it is implied that anyone can buff anyone.
s.f. can buff s.f.
its not directly stated there, but im pretty sure i saw a post by th, tiggs, or some other dev/correspondent/higher up that this would be the case.

in that same thread, i, and some others, mentioned specifically that gcw status should be negated in med centers.
it was hard enough to find a real live at the keys non-afk macroing medic/doc already. now i have to find one of my faction to heal me.

where is the incentive for a doc with no combat skills (doc/ent, doc/id, doc/crafter, etc) to join the gcw to heal the s.f. people?
they will the be targets for the people who used to 'pvp' by load-jacking unbuffed tef'ers at starports.
in the field, thats fine but med centers are med centers for a reason.

im sure this was mentioned in this forum too, but my doc is just an alt i play when im tired of killing things, and i dont read this forum much.

Bug fixes. Heh! Smuggling. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things.

My SWG Observations

If they stopped the expansions for one year and gave quality revamps to the professions that need it most, many people would resubscribe.
With all the resubs, and the new players, there would then be plenty of money to hire enough people to do 2-4 quality revamps per year plus 1-2 larger expansions per year and/or 2-4 smaller expansions per year, and not give the BigWigs a pay cut. (Possibly even an increase)
