You are wrong. We are going to be in the same situation we are in right now. Only it's going to be far worse
Doctor is a combat profession dispite what people think, or how they feel, it's all meaningless so it doesn't really matter what the opinions amount to anyways. What matters is we have the defense but not the power.
A pikeman has an offense of "2" and defense of "4" according to the CU notes. Yet I can smash level 80's with 1k-1.5k hit using specials like Impale or Leg Hit. Now normal attacks are about 280-350ish.
If you compair that to doctor, the "normal attack" would equal Bacta Jab....which is pretty darn close to 280-350, so that is fine.
However our 'big" heal (Bacta Shot) only hits for 800-850ish....which is almost 200 - 700 points weaking then a "special" attack. Yet it has roughly the same cooldown timer as something such as impale of Leg shot. I can't think of a single master combat profession, that does 800-850 damage.
What we need to be pushing for is an increase in Bacta Shot and Bacta Infusion. We are not Jedi, we do not have "Force" and therefore we should be weaker then Jedi. That's a simple fact....However, we are not on par with other combatants.....and that is what we need to focus on. Compairing Jedi and Doctor is like compairing Apples and Oranges. And honestly it's really not the direction we should focus on.
The timers are fine, what we need in a 10%-15% or maybeeven 20%increase in strength to our heals.This is not Pre-CU we are not going to heal for as much as we use to, no matter how much we complain about it. And honestly it's not getting anything done.
So this is just something for everyone to think about. Rather then compair apples and oranges, lets compair something on the same level as us......which IMO would be Pikeman, Pistoleer, and Smuggler type damage / heal comparasions.
But....This is just my observation / opinion so. ![]()

Well.....the ability to play a template properly probably had a lot to do with it.....A lot of people seem to think they still have the "I Win" button when then are playing and its not just the Jedi.
Regardless, Mind heals faster then Force anyways, which also probably played a huge part in your experience. However, the fact still remains that it takes 6-8 heals to get a person from 1hp to 3000+ hp. Which equates to about 30 seconds of non-stop healing. And that's just an example where no one is being attack
If players didn't have 3k health, our heals would be fine...but we do. And even pre-CU a Doc would not heal a fully buffed player with Stim B's....which is basically what we are looking at now with our healing power. There is a fine line between ablities and knowing how to use them.
Currently I'm content with our Power although I do agree with the voices on this forum...we are under powered...not by much but we are. Now this could be because Enhancers are borked, or people still haven't figured out how Doc works. But our inhernt abilities without aid from anything are lacking to a small degree.
And compairing Jedi to a Doctor is not going to get us any "love". And dispite the arguements about jedi they are "suppose" to be the Best. Which is why I think we need to steer clear of that comparasion.
I've been in positions where I can keep up with a group 7 (8 including myself), but more often then not I find myself getting frustrated over the fact that I can not heal fast enough.
