I posted this over on the tempest board as well beacuse i would like other doctors opinions on this as well. I am in a running argument with another character about whether or not mastering doctor can be done in 4 hours or less. Anyother docs want to comment beacuse i dont think that this is possible.

With the right Macros a lot ofABEC resourcesand a CM to help out (or even better if you ARE a CM) I'd say it might be possible. Not what I would consider FUN by any stretch of the imagination, but it MIGHT be possible. Still 4 hours does seem a bit short.

you can probably get the med xp but no way you can get the med crafting XP in 4 hours

For just the med crafting xp, you are looking at Adv BE controllers. You can rattle off roughly 7/minute for 588 xp per minute. You will need 96k med crafting xp so you are looking at 2 hours and 43 minutes straight, no breaks.

Now, there is the 450k of med xp to get. Buffing is the absolute fastest way to get med xp. As a master doctor, I have a 15 second delay between each buff. Let's say I average 2k per stat...that's 1k xp each, and 4k xp per minute.

The 450k would take 1 hour and 52 minutes. That's a total of 4 hours and 35 minutes.

Of course this med xp rate isn't possible since if you are skilling up, you don't have master doc abilities. So, the 4 hour time is complete BS.

Just thought I would add this on a more realistic note for the tumblers:

You are looking at 1 heal for 8 tumbles, so 1 heal every 8 seconds at roughly 225 xp per heal. At this rate you are looking at 1687 med xp per minute. This rate alone puts you at 4 and a half hours for the 450k xp.

When robas grow wings. The med crafting alone is a nightmare. Maybe you speed it up with multiple tools and a really quick mouse, or a mousing macro I've heard about but never seen. ABECs take Lokian Wild Wheat and Tatooinian Fiberplast. Lok? Uh, where's my protective commando when I need him?

Get somebody to macro-tumble for you for a couple of hours and you can probably get the healing XP. But he crafting? No way.

Once you get there in 4 hours, what ya gonna do? Drop it for the next thing on the holo list?

The healing xp is possible to get. Not only do you heal the Tumbler but you buff your Pet at the same time. Store him then rebuff. So you cut you time down to about 2.5 hours for the healing xp.

But the crafting xp I don't think you can do.

I got all my CM xp in about 3.5 hours and wasn't sitting there healing tumblers. Yeah the last block I just buffed my pet. But the crafting xp took me a couple of days cause I am not a grinder.

Crafting time would be possible for resource heavy final poroducts, if the user had crates of components handy (needing the help of someone beforehand).

That's assuming you only had one person tumbling. Now imagine if you had10 action buffedguild buddies tumbling for you.

i actually lvled all the way up the speed tree in doc in an an hour or so having 5 of my guildies duel each other, while i iheal them...but it took me alot longer than 4 hours to master doc...actually took me about a week to do. But then again i do work 12 hours a day

You can get med exp pretty easily. The slowdown is the crafting. I have no idea how people claim to do med crafting, the whole tree from novice medic all the way to master doctor, in a day. At one time I had 3 factories going almost non-stop plus my crafting and it still took mea week.

MY ONLY REPLY IS WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT TO. GRINDING IS FOR SUCKERS. PLAY IN THE FLOW OF THE GAME.
