Thread: testing stimpack B's realized ACRDM's suck , but why?
I was testing subcomponents Like so:
All identical Oraganic
All identical InOrganic
all components (EXCEPT Advanced Chemical Release Something Something)
And I recieved "Great Sucsesses!" on every experiment.
ACRDM with a power of 46 produced a stim B base of 343 (after max experimentation)
ACRDM with a power of 55 produced a stim B base of 352 (after max experimentaion)
ACRDM with a power of 59 produced a stim B base of 356 (after Max experimentation)
Now shouldn't one of the 3 main subcomponents give a better final product with that variation?
13 point difference in a ACRDM gives a 13 point change in the final build?
I think to myself , **edit** am i doing wrong.....so i re-read the FAQ.....and i find this
"It should be noted that the power supplied by an advanced liquid suspension FAR outweighs the power supplied by an advanced chemical release duration mechanism (often about 3:1). As advanced chemical release duration mechanisms require herbivore meat (and any creature based organic is more difficult to obtain than something you can drop a harvester on), advanced chemical release duration mechanisms are often left out of the final product and a basic version is used, instead."
huh!
So if i used 2 different ALS's , one at 46 and one at 59 (or comparable numbers) I'll see a gain 33% more then an ACRDM produces? (in my example above....more than a 13 point change in the final product?)
Anyone know WHY they are 1/3 as powerful? and How this was found (i'm assuming through confusing ass tests like i went through)
Can you get a 400 heal Stim-B using a basic CRDM? (400 is my target number before i start selling crates)
Thanks

i think what the faq is trying to say is thatACRDMs were made less important than ALS because one of the resources it uses (herb meat) cannot be harvested with a harvester and thus it's difficult to mass produce, whereas the ALS only use 6 of each of their resource and both are in abundance
they made ALS better simply to make it easier for medics and docs
also you can use ACRDMs in wound packs and enhance kits, and the few points difference they have will make more of a difference in these
when u experiment on the stim B, the components in it do not effect the affectiveness of your experimenting, its the resources (however many organic and inorganic) you put into the stim B which do.
the 3:1 ratio they gave did not mean that you'd get a better increase in experimentation, it meant that in general ALS power is around 3x that of a ACRDM's. for instance, your acrdms are around 50, my ALS are norm about 150-160 so they have around 3x the power of the acrdms
and a 400 heal stim B is easy without acrdms. on farstar we havent had a spawn of class 4 liquid yet (well actually we have, found one tonight which made a nice xmas present
) but i've been making 38/395s with sub standard resources and ABECs experimented for charges (169 ALS and 20/12 ABECs), so i know i could hit 400 with good resources and power experimented ABECs
hope this has been of hope to you
btw, are you a master doc or just a master medic? Cause if your only a medic, the extra expermentation points in doctor make it much easier
