I have recently started making my own buff packs and am wondering what the best combination for a bio controller is. i have read that i should max out charges, but also read to max out power. Should i find a good middle group and shoot for a 915 power buff and 25 or 27 charges, or a 930 power with 20 uses?
Opinions are much appreciated

I darn nearly alway go with charges.
Lets take your example.
930 - 915 = 15 which when buffed is about 40 points out of 2550ish. Thats only 1.5% increase.
26 - 20 = 6 thats a 30% increase.
If your buffing for cash no one will mind a 40 point drop in thier buff, however, those 6 extra charges will be all profit to you.
There are some bench marks some docs have in their heads. 900 power for example. For some reason a 901 pack will sell faster than a 899 pack. So when you need to hit such a bench mark that is the only time I would ever give up a charge just to get a point or two extra in power.
A smarter buff pack costomer would have the bench mark of 873 (if they have +25 bivoli) since that is the power needed to hit 2.4k which is a benchmark set by the buffie.
Your choice may also depend on your resouces. If you have high OQ but low UT fiber and high PE but low OQ wheat it might be wiser to go with power since your charges will be low anyway.

Agree 100%, I would always choose the 6 more charges vs the 40 more buff points, its something that will make you a LOT more money over the course of a couple crates.

I've always gone with charges, but from now on I'll be stocking both varieties. I did a big factory run of buffs using a P16C23 abec and the final result was 911/11743/MU91/34 and 911/11743/MU89/32. I had some old P25C14 abecs lying around so I did another factory run of buffs that came out 920/11743/MU91/25. Surprisingly, the 920's sold out almost immediately. I guess power is everything to some people.

I say as long as your pack will be over 910 (2500 buff) then go for charges.

I have 889 power buffs optimized for charges (30+). I could have made 900+ power buffs with <25 charges, but the # of points it adds is so trivial compared the extra charges. I've never had a problem selling my 2434 power buffs in coronet. No one's ever said "well, I'd buy them if they were 2474, but 2434 just won't cut it."
Even if your buffs are under 900, still go for charges.
