i wont go into details about how i think this works, but last night on dantooine i think i might have discovered how to get double buffed. i didnt fully try it out as i am not a doc and i didn't want ask somebody to help me exploit the game even if we were gonna send a CSR ticket in right away.
so, before i go to my guild doc and see if he will test this to see if it is an exploit, do any of you master docs know of one that does work. if you do, i will just assume i figured out the right way to do it and send in a ticket. i really dont want to have double buffing going on like double slicing was and have PvP compleatly ruined because people have 5k hams w/o food or drink.

first off, i am not trying to find an exploit to use. i honestly do think i stumbled onto something. i didnt try it last night because i wanted to get some more combat xp ground out and didnt want to waste time with CSRs.
secondly, i know some people have 5k hams from food, drinks, uber buffs, powerboost, and spice. they are not necissarily exploiting. however, since i had 2500 buffs, if i were double buffed that would be approx. 5k ham.
third, i hate exploiting with a passion. in a lot of my old posts about pvp and griefing i even went so far as to repeatedly say, "there is no grief without exploit". exploits ruin games for everybody.
i asked about double buffing exploits because i vaguely remember my old RL roommate saying it happened to him once but he didn't know how he did it. he sent in a ticket and the CSRs said to just wait the 4 hours he was buffed and if it happened again to submit another ticket and include everything he did before it happened.
the last thing i want in this game is another exploit. the economy was nearly ruined by credit duping. pvp faced a pretty nasty challange with double slicing and jedi tefs not functioning properly. i cant say it enough, i hate exploiting. i also hate being accused of trying to find an exploit. all i wanted to know was if docs knew if a buffexploit existed, and if so, had the devs/csrs been notified.
thanks for flaming me for trying to help out the community. if i wanted to try to exploit, i would have posted everything i did when i noticed this one bug hoping thata doc would say, "oh yeah, i heard about that, you get bug X and then you do Y and its an exploit".
i know people like to think nobody posts exploit directions in forums, but it happened with the smuggler double slice in the smuggler forum.
im sorry if i offended any of you, i was making an honest attempt to improve the game by getting a potential exploit fixed before people found out how to do it. if it does work and i randomly stumbled across this bug, how long will it take for somebody who isn't honest to stumble across it and get their guild doc to do it for them? oh, and about my guild doc maybe double buffing me, that was to be a strictly controlled test with CSRs being notified before we did it and the results being sent to them right after it was over. if it worked, i would get CSRs to verify i was double buffed, then get DBd and let it be over.
once again, i hate exploiters, one of the reasons i use the forums is to try to help the cause of ending exploitation of this game by bringing issues to light, or participating in discussion about how bugs/exploits have effected playing experiences. i am sorry for any misunderstanding.

Sounds like he's wondering if it was a fluke or if he's stumbled across an exploit, if someone verifies that there is one then he's going to assume that's what he discovered. I don't see him ask HOW to exploit anywhere, just if anyone's heard of one EXISTING.

Only one I remember was when you'd log or get disconnected or just get bugged somehow and could overwrite your buffs. Usually (from what I saw) you could only do it towards the end of the buff cycle (like the timer had gotten messed up somehow). Hopefully this crap isn't back again...at the very least it's pretty easy to tell who's doing it.

well i had one strange incident.
i was on dant i think to check my miners so i needed a buff (heh) so i buffed myself partly becuase i wanted to use up some of my broken up buffsets.
buffed health action subs and some otehr regenrationpools, missing some stats
well i know that my buff does 1465-2675 so no wory..
i went out to miners fight a bit and got incapped twice but survived...
i later noticed that my health buff was 2517 or somewhat, so i wondered. why to the heII can it be 2517 when my strongest buff is 1475. i didnt use vercuppy (maybe i did... but the other mains were unchanged). synthsteak does not do this, vasarian neiter, moun gouold neither... so i didnt had more food.
hmm think its actually the second tiem i had such, had it one time months ago as i was more noob and had no clue actually, so i cant verify that..
hmm
dotn know what i did.... buffed, falled incap, went on...
*shrugs*

There is no "double buff" exploit

Congratulations, you know what 2500 times 2 equals. For ten minutes during PvPing I can easilyhit 6K HAMs....you want to call me an exploiter?

Keep fishing dude, this is a pretty sorry attempt to find an exploit.

i talked to a doc ingame tonight, he knew the bug i was talking about and had tried before to see if it led to double buffing. he said it didnt lead to anything but wasting time. so, i guess we can all sleep easy tonight knowing there is no double buff exploit running around. or at least, not one resulting from this bug.
