i'm a master doc/ climbing carbineer tree right now.
i hate carbineer.. i can't even do janta missions w/o getting incapped cuz it is so weak...
what is the best template (in your opinon)to go w/ master doctor and sitll be able to do GREAT in PvE and decent in PvP

I prefer melee, and Master Doc / TKA or Swordsman is an awesome PvE and PvP combo.

I was a doc/rifleman for 3 months or so and I did a lot of pvp at the time. Its an awesome combo. If your a PvE guy, I advise either tka or swords.

I went master doc + fencer. Great defenses, and you can solo any type of mission easily.

thanks alot guys! I think i'm gonna try Master Doc/TKM and see how that goes for the PvE. Just wondering how many skill points will be left over when I am Master Doc/TKM and what should I do with them?

Entertain 0/0/0/1
As a TKM you can meditate your wound, including your mind pool wounds away. However you will still rack up the BF.
With entertainer you can dance away your own BF when you are anywhere except Spamonet.
B
Artisan 0/0/0/1
If you want to dig up your own resources to craft with.
C
Scout 1/0/0/0
This will let you run up hills a little faster and you can buy a droid to harvest resources for you off of your kills.

I've tried both TKA and Swordsman as a Master Doctor, both of these professions go really well with PvE and PvP. I first started with TKA, I had a blast with it mowing through creatures super fast because of the speed/damage they can do, and having special abilities like powerboost and force of will helped me survive a lot of encounters in PvP. But I didn't enjoy being limited to one damage type and AR, kinetic and light armor piercing, so I switched to Swordsman.
After mastering Swordsman I saw that this class was just as great as TKA, you could do extremely well in PvE and in PvP you were darn good with those mind attacks. I did miss meditate and all, but I really loved that Swordsman had medium armor piercing weapons and 2 choices of damage type, kinetic and blast. You didn't hit as fast because of the slower attack speed mods but the damage you did definitely made up for it.

i need a bit of advice on a new template i just thought up. i tried it on character build and i have 1 skill point spare.
master brawler / master swordsman / teras kasi 4/4/0/4 / fencer 4/0/4/0 / medic 0/0/4/0.
can you please reply with your thoughts on the template and any changes which you think would improve it for PVP!

Drop TKA to 4304 - you dont need the 4th, it's + unarmed damage (i think) and a KD move. Without TKM and the large damage bonus, your main form of offense will be Swordsman.
Drop Fencer to 2040 - Get medic 2040 instead. The ability to stop bleeds will far exceed the extra ranged/melee defense.

I agree with dropping tka to 4/3/0/4 but i think the melee and ranged def are invalulable and to sacrafice that for merely being able to heal bleeds witch often don't do any significant damage would be a bit silly i think. but thanks for your reply
anyone else have any ideas?

If you are fighting low to medium level stuff then don't worry about healing bleeds and keep the ranged/melee defense. If you are fighting high-end stuff like nightsisters then go with the medic and /firstaid for bleeds and don't worry about the defense, they'll hit you no matter what. High-end stuff can land some nasty bleeds.

43xx tka will take forever to grind if you dont have any of the power tree. you be novice tka power/speed for most of a tka grind. and if you are going to be soloing NS (especially elders, you need 2xxx medic to heal bleeds, unless you warcry2 and meditate it off)
