Thread: Less Common Clothing

I'd like to know how my buffing clothing compares to other Docs.

I have a +25 Hat, +25 Pants, a +18 Shirt and a +18 Jacket.

How hard is it to find +25 shirts and jackets? What about gloves and boots? Are skill tapes my only option for those?

And on the Topic of gloves, it these any reason a Mon Cal wouldn't be able to wear tipless gloves? I bought a plain set the other day but it wouldn't let me equip them for some reason. Kept giving me the "container transfer" error.

Thanks

Comparatively, you have way too much. Are you a master?

The injury/wound treatment/speed skills are capped at +125. At master you have +100. So, anything more than one +25/+25 BE clothing item is a waste of money. I know it seems to be higher when you look at the skill mod in your CTRL+C window, but that's a display problem that SOE has, along with all other "minor" bugs, not put effort into fixing.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I was looking at the skill mod window. And yes, I am a Master. I guess I can quit watching the BE clothing stores for better clothes to help me out!

Other ways to help buffing is to (1) use Bivoli food, (2) use a 110 medical rated droid, and (3) apply your buffs in a player city with a Medical Center specialization.

Oh, and mon cals get shafted in the glove department. But then, almost every species gets gyped in the clothing/armor department except humans, and maybe zabraks (which are really just humans with horns).

Yup, just humans with horns and more willpower. Oh but we don't get to wear wookiee or ithorian clothes. /sarcasmoff

Just get a sunguard with 25/25 and you'll be set if you're already master doc, that's pretty much all the clothes you need to help your buffs.

Skill enhancements cap at +25, so even though you are wearing more than one piece of clothing with +25 or other enhancements...you are still only getting +25.

+25 shirts/jackets are not possible, with one exception. The revealing top (and one other feminine bra'ish deal)can make it to +25. The reason being, is you need Bio Engineer enhanced synthcloth. Depending on the resourses, the active bio-sensor tissue made will usually cap at +18. You need a piece of clothign that has 2 separate spots to add synth cloth, and the only shirt/jacket that takes synthcloth and has 2 spots are the ones reseved for females. I tried every shirt, looking to make one +25, and those were the only ones.

The advantage of this, is you can wear it under your armor. If you have a sungaurd as your bonus points, then you are forced to loose them if you put on your helmet. I have 3 shirts I play with under armor

  • Revealing Top with +25/25 wound treatment/injury treatment. I wear this in combat if I am not going to be actively fighting, more support role. Also, it allows me to have full buff values while still being armored up/protected.

  • Intimidation/warcry shirt. Worn mostly in PvP, where Intimidation is vital. The extra 18 points also really helps to intim a Krayt abotu 75% of the time, without it, under 50%.

  • Melee Def4/Stun def 18 shirt. I just recently got this shirt, to compliment the pants i wear that are similar. Havnt found my niche for it , but I and swapping mid fight back and fort with the intimidation shirt.

The top was a real pain to make. Factory runs of the bio tisssues, then factory runs of the synthcloth with the tissues, then make the shirt with them. I ended up making 10 cloths with +13 each, enough to stack for +25, and for 2 tops.

My siggie got nerfed.

It was due for a change anyways

Musta misse one. I know guildies were pissed when I could put the femenine tops to +25, but couldnt find a shirt wearable by a male to do the same.

Thanks, i'll see about making one for them tomorrow. Too damn late now.
