**DISCLAIMER** (i may be a little behind with this...)

has anyone noticed that Master Doctors get the 'revive player' skill, and that master combat medics get the 'resuscitate player' skill? (this came to my attention on one of those new post cu character builder websites)

this discovery made me curious as to whether or not there was animportant distinction between these skills, or it was just a way to make doctors even less usefull.

any clarification on this would be most appreciated.

There is an important difference between doc and CM in this regard post CU. It was stated in one of Blairs logs someplace I believe that CM will get a

revive like skill but that it would leave the player significantly more damaged than if a doctor had revived them.

i suppose that would be a good trade off. maybeafter a few uses, the cm 'rez' would leave the player with too many wounds to continue to be effective without a doctor.

Also from the descriptions Resuscitate has a longer period of 'sickness' then Revive.

As far as I know, master docs will have an ability to revive a player with no drowsyness, while CM revive will work as current doc revive. I think Ive read somewhere that CMs will need consumables to revive a players, while docs wont, but Im not sure about this.

I think the difference is groginess (sp?), and perhaps ours will be better in the long run do to the damage healed.

Right now when we rez we have a 60s timer before the person can do anything. I would say that whatever the CM's is it is 2x longer. So if they drop Docs to 30s, CM's will be 60s. But without testing there is no telling.

i always thought that cms should have revive since "supposely" they were to be in combat, hence their name. doctors were supposed to be outside of combat but obvious people mostly die in combat which created a conundrum. doesnt matter now tho.

If you die on TC-5 you get a Resuscitate timer which is very short - my experience was about 30 secs, and this seems to be the period when a CM can patch you up.

I presume that behind the scenes there is a similar timer for Revival but much longer.
