Thread: RotW: The Post-CU nerf, nerf

So after the CU nerfs us, and yes, that is what it is doing to many of us, nerfing us. You can argue all you want, but to a crafting *Doc* (not BE) this is a nerf, I can no longer keep my template. Anyway, after this the one thing I thought that might be cool is that we could actually do surgery!
I figured, hmm, DE makes artificial limb, and Doc can surgically attach it! Cool!
Turns out, no...no, and no. DE will not create them, they are quest rewards, docs will not attach them, this is for NPC docs to do.
They want people to group, yet take all interdependacies away.
Welcome to the life of being a Rezbot.

We're not getting cybernetics?

As far as I can tell, the CU ends the game for me.

Of course the devs hate docs. Otherwise why would they create a system where we have to visit the Village 7 times for every visit by a combat type?

Is it just me or does this SWG CU remind people of EQ?
Things I used to like about SWG:
You were never forced to group with anyone, much less with disrespectful or incompetent players, like you were in EQ. You didn't have to worry about having a healer, tank, crowd-control specialist, debuffer, and puller in every single group... like you did in EQ. You didn't have to play at peak times or wait around for a healer, or tank, or puller like you did in EQ. You could enjoy pvp when pve did not appeal to you and compete with an imperfect template. You actually made profit as a doctor and could function in an economy you helped create.
How can you have a player-versus-player experience in a game that forces grouping to compete and nerfs the solo'ing abilities?
Things I did not like about SWG:
Lack of content. Overpowered weapons and armorbeing used in pvp that unbalanced the experience and made it virtually impossible for the average player to compete in pvp. Buggy macros.
Personally, I think they went way overboard with this CU... they could have altered overpowered weapons and armor, adjusted the level of regeneration of the HAM bar, added more high-end content for those interested in grouping, and toned down a couple of the professions clearly dominating pvp... without having to create SWG 2.0.
I am disappointed in their money-oriented alteration of the game I picked because of its unique pvp experience and gamestyle... after three years of EQ. I've had enough EQ already!!!
