I read the clicky from the previous correspondent. I've been on Test Center briefly a few times. I intend to go back when the crashes are once an hour rather than every 2 minutes. Basicly I'm just wondering what the pvp minded individuals have found to be effective about being a doc after the curb hits. I've always pvp'd as a tka doc or fencer doc and I'd kinda like to maintain that play style.
I know our buffs will be 20% which sounds miniscule but I think will be mandatory. I know we'll be required less skill points to be effective docs. What I don't understand is our role. From what I've seen so far our healing abilities aren't that much superior to other players. We'll have state cures, but my experience as a pvp doc is that the only state cure you put on other players while fighting is a dizzy cure which isn't all that effective since the invention of dervish. Right now we pretty much click the area cure buttons and heal the trickle of burning victims in large scale fights. We resuscitate andrebuff fallen soldiers when time permits.
Are our healing abilities going to make us as strong as we were before? Now granted as far as healing goes, someone with 0040 medic is currently almost as capable of healing just about as much damage as a master doctor with Stim D's or E's.
Our current role now is to buff, cure poison/disease, and resuscitate in pvp. Does the curb have more to offer for us as far as supporting others?

Here are my personal takes on things.
1. Right now the CU doctor is rather broken. Most of our heals are too small. I believe this will get cleaned up before live.
2. As with the Live game a docs roles in PvP will be much the same:
- Cure poison/disease etc that CM are tossing out.
- Healing damage. Currently in Live this is not much use since most folks only do mind damage. In the CU I see this as being a much larger role.
- Buffing. Yes the Health buff is not all that helpful, however, I think the secondary buffs like action will be of a greater use by allowing fighers to use more specials.
- Rezing. Currently in Live it is not all that helpful to rez since you then still need to buff them. However, in the CU a recently rezed player will be able to jump back into the fight faster. So Rezing will play a larger role for a doctor. This could change, we shall see.
3. Now the question many folks will ask will be to be a CM or a Doc in PvP. I think that is the same question we have in live. The key in any good group will be to have a mix. If all you have are CM's then there will be no one to heal the poison/disease etc and your group will quickly pay the price.
In the end until the Doc CU gets fixed it is hard to say how useful it will be.
Personally I think a Doc/TK will be a very good combo since you will be able to take on a lot of damage and heal your self rather well (assuming our healings get a boost).

i found dueling in the cu that doc was great
everyones going master cm if you pick up master doc instead and pick up the poison/fire line in cm then a proffesion of your choosing(pistoleer is good for rooting those who come close to you)
anyway being able to heal is great and while the heals should be boosted anything is better than nothing
