You have to use the new icons...they can be found in the usual place...just so you know...I was buffing for 2634 @ about 4 hrs...now it is a 10% increase for about 30-40 min.

Doc buffing is a thing of the past I think.

Buffing was always only meant to be something to give you a little more room to move, a slight edge in combat. Unfortunatelypoor SOEmanagement decisions combined with lack of proper testing and the dubious programming skills of the dev team meant that they didn't have a clue we'd be able to buff for such huge amounts.

Buffs aren't all that useful. They provide a bit of a bonus, but they aren't necessary like they used to be. I'm a master doc/tkm, haven't really respec'ed at all except to reduce skills and get ahold of some terrain negotiation (YAY!!!!). An extra 200-300 health means maybe one more hit from something.

But they aren't absolutely necessary for hunting anymore. Trust me. I was out tanking and not buffed for a friend to get some Investigation xp done.

As far as I know, the buffs stack with food/drink and spice bonuses. So you can still get pretty hopped up. Nowhere near what you used to be able to, but combined with armor you can solo pretty well. If you are hunting below your level for hides, etc. you really don't need anything other than your weapon.

Always remember to get an Entertainer inspiration buff, 10% extra xp and faction gain as well as 10% bonus to crafting checks.
