If you're talking about reducing the chance of failure on creation, then yes. As far as influencing the power, charges, and duration, I'm not 100% sure but I don't think it has that impact.

assembly tapes add to your chance of not getting critical failures. Medical Experimentation Tapes are the ones that most people are looking for. For every +10 points of medical experimentation you get 1 extra point to experiment. The maximum # of points you could get is 2. Meaning u need +20 tapes in any order for that. You could for instance use 4 +5's to medical experimentation or assembly to get the max bonus. Hope this helps!

If they are worth it, I don't think so. I saw a set of +20 medical experimentation tapes sell on Flurry for 30 mil. I don't know about you, but I can't afford that and I am a Master Doctor, Master Weaponsmith on Flurry.

Med assembly not so much.
Med Exper..I think they are worth the price. Half the docs on our server envy Tandis. His packs are not only power 925 (Which I can hit with 15-30 tries), but his packs also have Med Use 90...for Non-Master Docs.
I got 8 points saved up...come onnnnnne...2 more.

A lot of people hve the 2 types confused, and try to gouge.
Are they useful? Yes. Though we tend to mass produce more then other professions.
+ assembly tapes are of more value to people with 1 of a kind items (say WS) made from very rare parts.
We tend to use schematics and huge stacks of resources.. so if we crit fail, we jsut remake the schematics 45 times until we get a perfect one. + assembly would help us make less attempts (especially for high complexity meds).. but not at the prices people seem to be trying to get.
