I'm sure at master knowledge you'd have the med use to use them, but you still need to get the enhance skill in the wound treatment tree.

It depends on the Enhance Pack but it's at least 71+ Medicine Use

I am a little new to making meds but I have studied this board for several months, gathering materials etc. Now, I am puzzled ...

Crafting station is 43.6377. Crafting tool is 14.94.

Avian meat is OQ 955, PE 748.

Reactive is OQ 923.

ACRDM Power 66

ASDL Power 70

ABEC - Power 11, charges 21

Schema is an enhanced quickness pack.

These were my figures and they were fairly consistent (varied very slightly on final base) base - duration -effect %

653864160
703864163
751864166
797864169
840864172

I thought this was rather low considering how high the quality of my ingredients. Now, I swap to a second set of advanced components....

ASDL - Power 54

ACRDM - Power 53

ABEC - Power 19 charges 7

.. and the figures

641864160
692864163
740864166
786864169
830864172

The second set of figures were again fairly consistent varying a little either way on final base.

The difference between the two end results is very small and yet the component difference is quite significant. I even tried using the ABEC from the first set in the second set and still the difference was only minor except for the number of charges, which I expected.

Is something wrong here or am I missing something?

I would say its your all of your components. I can't verify because I'm at work, but looking and tring to remember what it is I have. I would say if your components.

The problem I see is that the first set you made has high power low charges. Your second set has low power high charges. Which is not a trade off, and it is most likely your problem

I personally would go with your 1st test, because ABEC's Power really don't make much of a difference from my experience. I would work on your components a little more, and see where you can take it from there. But honestly both or your buffs are pretty good.

I think your ASDL has to do alot with your final outcome. I can make ASDL with power of 80+

Your power goes down by 29 from the Adv SDS and Adv CRDM and goes up by 10 from the Adv BEC for a net loss of 10 points which is consistent with your results. .

The difference is small on higher end stuff yes. But swap out the adv comps for regular ones and the difference becomes a lot bigger.

Actually the Adv BEC's only differ by 8 points... math is hard and all. Still close enough.

I have noticed the same thing and have stopped regually using Advance parts on Enhance Packs altogether. The way I see it... you put so much money and time into making advance parts and gathering great avain and such for a pack that buffs for only 3 hours.

I can reach bases into the 800s with using high Quatly Regualr parts and good quality Meat and Gas. I do end up with lower amounts of charges than most do but since I'm using regualr parts... I can afford to make more of them. Yes - I have (as everyone does) my low randoms and my low randoms will be lower than yours but most rearly complain and it usually only 1 of the 6 stats. The rest are almost always over 1.5k plenty for all stats in my book. Haven't heard anyone yet ever say "Dang it... died because I got 6 1.5k buffs rather than 2k buffs." Buffs help regardless of strength... it's stupid players that get themselves killed.

Save your advanced parts for Stim Bs! That's where the only benefit of advanced parts lies. The ONLY place. Still baffles me how many people make Adv part WOUND PACKS! Honestly... wounds are healed in camps and hosipals... rearly needed in heat of battle... being able to hit the entire ham bar of wounds is pointless! What about those other 50 uses you'll use up on someone that only has 200 wounds. Wound pack Cs using regualr parts is all I ever use. Been Master Doc since game started.

I use advanced components in most things for a couple reasons actually.

1. They're easy to get. I only need to travel to Lok and Tatooine to get the resources for an advanced BEC. Even if it's bad stuff it will still outperform a regular component. The exception is the advanced chem which needs herbivore meat, so I normally use a regular chem instead.
2. I want to stay competitive. I run a vendor selling medical supplies. Some of my customers come to me because I can sell high power stimpacks, not just B's but pretty much the whole range.
3. Pride. I like trying to improve on my stuff.

For enhance packs you need avian regardless so it's a wash. I like pushing up the minimum though, while I can still buff for as low as 1100 or so I no longer buff for a low of 900.

Having said that, you don't actually need advanced components at all in many cases. But there's a couple of reasons you might want to anyway, and in my opinion most of the resources needed are very easy to gather.
