I'm new to doctor, so I'm no authority...but I don't think you get XP by crafting through the factory. I do believe you still get UXP (user XP) when people use your products.

MY question is...

I run a lot of my advanced component through the factory, then I use those crated advanced components, and manually craft, my stims and packs, etc.

I'm still losing some craftingXP then right?

No you don't get any xp, and what's really fun is that it takes about 5 times longer for the factory to produce the item than you do - I made a small run of enhance D packs and it takes 5 MINUTES a pack!

I mean honestly....

Factories did at one time give 10% xps (I think), but that was removed during all the factory fixes a few months back. The factory does take longer than hand crafting, but it doesn't crit fail and crates are only 1 slot in your inventory so I think it's worth the wait. I made a run of 1000 Advanced LS's and at 144 seconds each that's 40 hours to finish the run. I would hate to run 1000 LS's by hand.

Also, you need identical adv bio controllers that need to be created by a factory for certain meds.

Plus, although it takes longer in a factory, you can do something else with that time, instead of sitting crafting...

True enough, 1000 adv. liquid suspensions is liable to induce a psychotic episode for sure, but it could at least take roughly the same length of time as doing it by hand though - especially when you're making a run of 6 different items, you can't just set it going and come back in a day or two.

Buffpacks take about 5 minutes in a factory and 2 minutes by hand, but running a factory crate for the consistency and resources is well worth it. Doing my first run this weekend now that I managed to move into a Research Facility, and while this is way beyond your current skill level if you stick through everything you shoudn't be far behind.

DeathHawk - Here for forums. I'll consider coming back when they revamp Doctors.

Last I heard, Factory XP (1/10) is supposed to be still in. It does seem to be busted.

Usage XP seems to be busted as well.

I concur. We have never gotten any word on the Factory XP issue. Last official worad was we are supposed to get 10%. Right now we get nothing, and have been getting nothing for months. We can only guess that it is a bug since the Devs have yet to tell us otherwise.

It used to be 100% back during launch, last I heard it went down to 10% or was it 5%...

I wanna be Howie Mandel! (That's really dating myself, though. Although I can't remember the name of the show, so I guess I still have some dignity left, even if I do remember it had sometjhing to do with a Hospital on Boston.) Of course I could REALLY show my age and talk about wanting to be Marcus Wellby, M.D.

I Really want to be Quincy.

But it would make my medical customers really nervous.. Him being a Medical Examiner or Coroner ...or the like.
