Yesterday and today on two separate instances I tried getting buffs while I had old buffs with a few minutes left on them. In both cases the doc could not buff me due to my old buffs, eventhough I know my old buffs were around 1700-1900 and my new ones were about 2100. While waiting in line for a doc a TKA with power boost also could not get buffed until after his power boost wore off. I was wondering if others has noticed this?

Powerboost is a weird thing.. It has all sorts of strange interactions with stuff. You, on the other hand, should have been able to get new buffs. Hrmm. I'll keep an eye out for more reports of this.

Try posting this in the TK forum and see if others know more details.

I think I also experienced the same thing (correct me if I did something wrong), but I buffed a person accidentally w/o my clothes, shoved them all on then thought "no matter, I'll just buff over the top of the old one".
This did not work, however - said he already had that attribue enhanced.....shoudl I have been able to do this?

I heard on Dath, that in order to over write a buff 2 things had to happen.
1. your current buff had to be lower then 2k.
2. the new buff had to be higher then 2k.
Any truth to this???

it may be determined by pack rating, not by the actual buff amounts (after calculation with clothes, droids, food etc.) ...
So a guy with a high pack and no food, may be able to block a guy with lower packs and food, even though his end buff would be higher...

perhaps. because I know when I forget to wear my doc clothing, I can't overwrite myself.
Is there a simple way to test what overwrites what?

I think it the buff value and here is why.
I tried to buff a guy but could not overwrite his buff. I eat some bovili and then tried again. It worked.

One other thing to consider or remember, as the case may be: If you use /healenhance without specifying an attribute it will only check for the existence of the buff and not the value. I use this in my buff house to prevent people from getting buffed repeatedly and making me go broke. So make sure you are either clicking on the pack directly or specifying an attribute.
