Lucky for you, you've already got the crafting out of the way.

For MEDIC, I recommend working on the other three lines in the following order:

  • First Aid (bigger heals)

  • Pharmacology (better meds)

  • Diagnostics (faster heals)

(Feel free to flip flop Pharmacology and Diagnostics if that suits your style.)

For DOCTOR, do the lines in this order:

  • Wound Treatment

  • Medicine Knowledge

  • Wound Treatment Speed

With Wound TreatmentII (-2--) you will get the ability to apply buffs. This skill will reap huge XP rewards for you. With buffs, you can enhance your pet, store the pet, call the pet, rinse, repeat. An endless supply of XP, something that needs to be corrected in my opinion. The bigger the buff, the greater the XP. Thus, if you improve your Knowledge so that you can buy D buff packs, then you'll find yourself with more XP than you know what to do with.

As for money, don't count on making a steady income until you are a Master Doctor who charges 10k credits to buff players on adventure planets.

Probably your biggest chore will be the collection of resources to make your meds. Artisan/Survey are practically required unless you have gobs of money and can afford to pay insane prices for resources. Also, if you haven't been collecting resources for a LONG time, then you likely don't have a supply of the nice resource spawns. As a result, the power of your meds will be lower than you may like. Over time, this will correct itself as nicer resources spawn. (Heavy harvesters are your friend.) Here's a link to an indisputable resource tracking site, courtesy of Agent001. CLICK

There's also a good Doctor FAQ on that site.

My personal experience with Doctor has been favorable. I enjoy being able to keep folks alive in combat and in generally making their life easier. I've been a Doctor since the beginning and can't forsee myself giving it up. I think your experience will likewise be favorable.

Best of luck to you.

H.

Hey Everyone! I've been thinking lately (Its a rare thing for me) and I kind of want to drop Bio Engineer and go Master Doctor/Carbineer. Don't Worry, this is not for any sort of Holocron, just because I really do like the idea of helping everyone out.

I am only 0/0/0/4 Medic Right now, so I havent even started, but asI BE I make pets and pets only, just for the fact that Tissues gets really confusing and expensive to get the correct resources. To get to the point, I'm wondering where I can find a post on

1)How to best master Doctor (There's always some sort of post containing a guide, I just can't seem to find it at the top or with the search)

2)How much money do you generally make? I'm not looking to be a super rich, but I do like being able to buy shuttle tickets, and its always good to have a constant source of cash.

3) Is Doctor overall Really Enjoyable, or is it just one of those professions thats only for the Hologrinders? (God, theyre annoying)

Thanks in Advance! Any Tips or Advice I'd REALLY Appreciate.

As a master doctor, I tend to make lots of money when I need to selling buffs at the mining outpost or Coronet. I don't like to spend my time doing this because it can get absolutely crazy. Thankfully, the money is well worth it, and I always have the money on hand to purchase things I want/need

Doctor has been one of my favorite professions because it is very versatile and can go with anything from crafting to PvE to PvP. You can heal states, have huge heals, buff yourself, and be a key component in any good hunting group.

Instead of doing the pet buff/store/repeat thing you can ninja buff everyone at the starport. This isn't frowned upon anymore as buffs can be upgraded now. A great supply of people that are not buffed is the buffing line closest to a master doc.

Thanks Everyone! I Can't play for another week because of RL problems, but as soon as I can, I'm going to start on Doc.

Sounds like I'm really going to Enjoy it and I can't wait to get started.

Again, Thanks for all the help.
