Thread: Question For Docs
Lucky for you, you've already got the crafting out of the way.
For MEDIC, I recommend working on the other three lines in the following order:
- First Aid (bigger heals)
- Pharmacology (better meds)
- Diagnostics (faster heals)
- Wound Treatment
- Medicine Knowledge
- Wound Treatment Speed
With Wound TreatmentII (-2--) you will get the ability to apply buffs. This skill will reap huge XP rewards for you. With buffs, you can enhance your pet, store the pet, call the pet, rinse, repeat. An endless supply of XP, something that needs to be corrected in my opinion. The bigger the buff, the greater the XP. Thus, if you improve your Knowledge so that you can buy D buff packs, then you'll find yourself with more XP than you know what to do with.
As for money, don't count on making a steady income until you are a Master Doctor who charges 10k credits to buff players on adventure planets.
Probably your biggest chore will be the collection of resources to make your meds. Artisan/Survey are practically required unless you have gobs of money and can afford to pay insane prices for resources. Also, if you haven't been collecting resources for a LONG time, then you likely don't have a supply of the nice resource spawns. As a result, the power of your meds will be lower than you may like. Over time, this will correct itself as nicer resources spawn. (Heavy harvesters are your friend.) Here's a link to an indisputable resource tracking site, courtesy of Agent001. CLICK
There's also a good Doctor FAQ on that site.
My personal experience with Doctor has been favorable. I enjoy being able to keep folks alive in combat and in generally making their life easier. I've been a Doctor since the beginning and can't forsee myself giving it up. I think your experience will likewise be favorable.
Best of luck to you.
