Thread: Just My Humble Opinion
Try this...
Make a buffpack thats pretty superior...spend about I say 5-10 million making a crate of 50 (each stat) High quality buffs. And then sit in coronet, or someplace equally busy, and make sure your bank is at 0. Ok do about 50 buffs and then rest a bit, change your title or something so that you dont get bothered with questions, and then check your bankroll. You got about 20K in there. Hmmm....you charged 6K per buff and you got 20K cuz you allowed them to bank tip you assuming it was legit.
Now try this after learning this....
You stand in coronet again, advertise that you will NOT accept bank tips. Ok so about 5 people at once bank tipped you and you get upset cuz you already advertised you dont allow bank tips and you dont see a change in your bankroll cuz they all prolly sent a fake email. You tell them "Ok I didnt get any money please do a trade or tip from your pocket"....now they all scream at you saying you just scammed them for money and they release this whole drama on your $$$ cuz you wont buff them and they make a scene so now youre known as the doctor who just scammed 5 people out of buffs and credits.
Ok so you learn your lesson AGAIN...but now what? You tried everything and you cant stop the scams and the constant BS going on when you smarten up when all this could be solved just by voicing your opinions. You worked hard saving 10 million credits to make buffs so you can try and get compensated for your hardwork and instead you get stiffed and jeered.
We are not complaining about the Doc profession. If we hated it, we would choose something else. I like being a Doc cuz I can buff myself and make high quality stimpacks and experiment with different crafting schemes. But for those who are docs to make an "honest living" in the game, they are being royally screwed and THATS why we voice our opinions.
I dont care about the questions, I answer them. I wrote a top 10 annoying question for docs post for FUN, it wasnt to piss anyone off. I got these questions from 4 docs who have been a doctor for about a month and they are just annoying cuz they can easily find the answers by reading FAQS or by observing the doctors instead of asking us when we are in a spam-hell region and just dont have time to answer them. Im standing with a droid in coronet buffing , theres a line in front of me, Im advertising my buffs....and some guy thats RIGHT next to me asks "Are you buffing?" or "Can you heal my wounds?"...so any posts about questions for doctors isnt a post to complain but its just a heads up. A heads up isnt so bad =D

Okay and whats the point there though man, I mean first off, if you spend 5-10 million to make buffs, then no wonder our economy is so screwed up. You need to find some people to aid you with that stuff, join a guild or something, cus thats crazy and you are getting ripped off spending that much. And yeah I see your point about the losing money thing, but think about it, I could walk up to any doc and start yelling that "I paid and he wont buff me and this is bullsh**" and it would have the same effect, honestly if any. I know a lot of people on my server and they know I wouldn't do that, and if you're making good buffs and you're doing good business then they should know you too, its not like theres that many of us on each server, you see the same people over and over and word of mouth spreads, for the best most of the time.
Unfortunately though, where some like yourself may have valid opinions as well DasShadow, many of the docs on the boards do not, if you disagree with that as well then cool, but this game is quickly becoming the playground of bitc*** and whiners and its just gotten to the point of pathetic. I notice that many people complain that we act too god like and I agree, I think a great many of the docs do think they are better than everyone else, why?
So try this, if they bank tip and you know its a scam then don't buff, they complain, well too bad. I've had plenty of people complain to me about things they didnt like that I did, but they know they're in the wrong and the tons of people that know me and trust me are proof that though I may not always have the best buffs, I am honest and polite, and I have friends because of it that will back my rep, so i don't worry about that crap, and I dont care if they yell, cus theres so much of that going on in Coronet anyways that most people aren't even paying attention...how often do you read every single spatial and yell when you're in Coronet?
And to boot, i've had tells coming in so fast that its looked just like the spatial in Coronet, and I'm in groupchat, yet I don't have that much of a problem dealing with it, I just take my time and get it done, if they walk away cus they're impatient then oh well, others will come.
avian meat and herb meat, HQ ones are at least 150-200CPU nowadays. If you make a crate of 50 buffpacks for each stat, thats already 300 buffpacks right there. Now multiply 300 * 22 cuz thats how much meat you need for a buffpack. I would say thats about 6-7K of just one type of meat...That alone is already 1 mil just for avian, I didnt even mention the other high quality resources I have paid for....Tat fiberblast, reactive gas, lok wheat, herb meat, etc....theres about 8 different resources with a certain criteria that you must meet to make awesome buffs. The people you are buffing, you wanna get paid for your services cuz you want to get the money you invested back into your pocket, and maybe a lil extra for all your hardwork and efforts.
Now you might ask "Just hunt them yourself or harvest them yourself and you dont have to pay a penny for your resources", correct? Well to harvest and kill things on my own I would have to invest about 2-3 months just getting these HQ resources since a lot of us work and cant play the game 24/7. Whether you are getting paid for the resources you bought, or the time you put into the game to make these resources...you wanna get paid. You want the "tip" so that you can feel good about making money the honest way. The fact that people stiff you and make a mockery of your hardwork and efforts to SERVICE THEM, is just absurd. It makes the game no fun, and I thought the game was supposed to be fun?

I paid 200 cpu for my avian and get nothing but complements on my buffs. Then again, I'm used to being abused because my alternate is a master armorsmith.
Then again, with the amout of good deals i've gotten, it all balances out.
It's funny that you call people's opinions invalid yet you back it up with only opinion yourself. Don't come here with an abrasive attitude and you will find YOUR opinions valued and the community ready to listen. Also try and make sure you don't do the very things you complain about, that tends to degrade your arguments and make your points seem to carry less substance.
