Hey guys and gals -

I have mastered a ton of combat professions.

right now I am TKM and Master Heavy Swords.

Thinking of dropping TKM (really only keep it for the "cool" value).

So my plan is this

Master Swords / Master Doctor / 1,0,0,0 in scout

Never done a medical profession (I have nov medic so i can use stim B's).

I know there are numerous threads out there, that outline in detail how to master doc quickly.

But most of them require at least nov doc

Can anyone tell me the best / fastest way to get from 0/0/0/0 in medic to master doc?

How long can I expect it to take?

What type of supplies will I need?

Any tips or tricks?

And has anyone (you know who you are) done the master doc / master swordsman combo - is it really good or should I go TKM / Doc?

Thanks in advance

I found mastering doc from novice medic realy easy. It took me about 3 weeks casual game time. After mastering bounty hunter It was kind of shocking to me how easy it was cause BH took me about 3 months casual gaming to finish.

I mastered doctor in around 12 hours total, I messed around for a few hours of that so I think I could probably have done it in around 8 if I put my mind to it. I know some people like to take their time and enjoy the profession, I just wanted to get back into PvP as fast as possible

Firstly if you can get a friend to tumble for you that will help alot, 2 friends is even better! get some decent stim b or c's and run a macro to heal your buddy or buddies. Once you get the timing down its fairly easy, you will not want to be purely afk for this so you can go train as you gain your skill boxes. Some people use other methods but this worked for me.

Secondly while you are healing your tumbler with your healing macroyou should be crafting at the same time, you will find with a good crafting macro you will finishthe crafting treelong before you get the medical xp required for master doctor. I crafted stim-a, then stim-b's then Advanced Bio Effect Controller (ABEC).

ABEC's were by far the easiest because there are only 2 components so its a fast 2 clicks for your macro, the stim-b's were kinda annoying becausethey have5 components but I had alot of grindable resources for it so I figured I would use them up. I think most peoplecraft stim-a, bec, then abec in that orderas they get the schematic. You will need 22-25k each of tatooine fiberplast and lokian wild wheat for ABEC's but they give great xp in practice mode.

Do a search on these boards for doc crafting macro, there are a fair few posts with them.

Good luck!

Doctor is fairly easy, as long as you are patient with the grind. The med XP is easy enough, and can be AFKed if you have a friend.

well here is an update -

made medic last night - not enough AP to get the master title, but got more then enough medical xp for nov doc when I do get the AP for master medic.

The crafting is what really took me a while - i hate crafting for the sake of grinding

The medical xp seemed to go fairly fast - was in cornet med center, healing the wounded and poping stims into two tumblers that were there.

So if medic is at all a sign of things to come, I can tell right now the crafting is going to drive me nuts

From what I have heard, once I am able to buff people (even if buffs are junk) the xp should come faster.

Theoretically, with a non-stop tumble/heal macro, and 1 minute to teach 2 skills at once (plus crafting skills if applicable), it should take youa little less than1 hourfrom Noviceto Master Medic andabout 6.5hours from Novice to Master Doctor.

<Med XP>

Get someone to tumble for you and buff their Action Pool whenever possible.

Get the tumbler Action-Buffed before starting. Just Action, no secondaries.

Have them wearhigh encumberance Composite Armor (you want to target the action pools), so each tumble eats up at least 150 Action. DO NOT make them wear a helmet because the tumbler's mind is the hardest thing to keep healed.

Getsome BE Enhanced Brandy for your tumbler that lasts at least 40 minutes. DO NOT USE MUON. A few Blue Milk or Canape may also come in handy a couple of times during the whole grind.

Givethe Food to your tumbler and have them setup a macro that consumes 1 brandy every 20 minutes or so.

Use Stim B's until you can use C's, then use C'd until you can use D's, then use the D's toget all the way up to Master Doctor.

Setup a macro that lets you healWHEN the tumbler's action pools completely drain so that whatever you heal for is used up everytime so you dont waste heals. (example:Let's say the tumbler only has 800 damage and your stims can heal for 1000 a hit on average. If your macro pause is too short, you waste a potential 200 damage heal or about 50xp per stim)

You may or may not want to pull out aMed Droid. You will get a bonus in heals, but the crafting macro gets complicated. If you are comfortable withyour crafting macro, by all means pull it out. (see below)

Tumble away and craft while you heal.

<Crafting XP>

Get some Lokian Wheat and Tatooine Fiberplast.

In Practice Mode, grind BEC's until you can make ABEC's. You can use the Wheat and Fiberplast in both schematics.

Look around anyCrafting Profession forums for asimple craftingmacro or I think it was the Armorsmith forums for the advanced one that takes care of the Crafting Station Experimentation stuff. (You'll know what I mean if you try to craftaround a crafting station or a med droid with a crafting station built in)

My best combo is a4 second delay using 5 Crafting Tools with a 1 second pause between Tools. (Again, you'll understand this when you set up your macro)

<OTHERS>

You might want to go buy an Action Buff Abefore starting. By the time the first Action Buff wears off, you should be able to use the A's. Then simply re-apply when needed. Be sure youget 0/2/1/0 Doctor first (or 0/2/0/0 if the Action packs are 55 med use)so you don't have to stop to get your tumbler buffed somewhere.

It doesn't matter how you progress up the trees in Doctor. Your damage healing abilities will not increase after Master Medic. However your buff abilities will as you train Wound Treatment.

That's it.

I've mastered Doctortwice and Combat Mediconce,and this seems to be what I have concluded to be the easiest and most cost efficient way to power grind.

Swordsman/Doc is very nice...

In fact all Elite-Brawler/Doc combos are very effective for PvE.

For PvP,I'd suggest Doc/TKM (just for KD). For PvE, I'd suggest Doc/Swordsman (more raw damage).

I myself think Doc/Fencer rocks - We last longer and can run around and heal alot more simply becausewe're the hardest tohit. Effective in all situations.(solo/group, PvP/PvE)
