Thread: Jedi and Master doc ?

A boost in exerimentation and assembly should definitely be useful for crafting enhance packs. Enhance packs have a high complexity rating, so it's always good to have as a good bonus to both these skills.
I thought Jedi's could only be Jedi's though ? Can they take other professions as well ?
Today's patch changes the way jedis work. Now, jedi skills can be mixed and matched with regular skills, so jedi dabbling is possible. The big deterrent to dabbling long-term is that a jedi must maintain 24 skill points in the force sensitivity boxes of questionable usefulness and the lower boxes in the jedi tree are much more expensive the higher boxes.
During the conversion today, all jedi who did not have enough previous jedi experience to become a 250 skill point jedi could spend their extra skill point on any other profession skill (whether they had ever mastered it or not). So someone with a padawan jedi could become an instantjedi/master weaponsmith, for example. I guess this was more fair than making them grind out non-jedi professions to give their weak jedi characters some real defenses (like jedi/fencer) though many are using it to make jedi/crafter hybrids until they can level the jedi and have to surrender the crafter skills.
The good news for us that have to compete against the brand new jedi/master crafters is that the experimentation bonus does not grant extra experimentation points and resources are still more important than the extra skills. After patch 10,non-jedi should be able to gain the same force sensitivity bonuses as well.
That's my understanding of the situation. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong anywhere.
