Here is my suggestions.
1.) Get yourself some storage droids. =) Little mouse droids that can hold 10 items. I think you can have 5 droids. Thats like 50 more spots to place stuff. You can also place those items in your Hotbar and when you click it, it should pop into your backpack.
2.) Leave stuff in your house. Some

Doh! Stupid finger made it post.
Anyway if your using a macro or a heal command and you get the "no valid medicine found" message it means that medicine in not in your main inventory. Crated items will not be used you have to extract the item you need.
Also remember to name you droids something you'll remember. Make sure one of the droids is a Medic Bot and also has storage.
I hope that helps you.

All depends on if you're trying to carry everything. Don't carry subcomponents or resources. Leave them all at home.
Rule #1: Only try to carry what's necessary to play the game like you want to play it.
Be sure to get a med droid with +10 storage.
1) Stim B or Stim D or Stim E but notmore than 1(plus 1 crate in your med droid)
4) One of each type of State Stim (leave your crates at home)
6) One of each type of buff (plus 6 crates in your med droid)
2) One of each Poison/Disease (leave crates at home)
1) ??? Does anyone carry/use fireblankets? (Guess if you're PvP you'll need them)
What else is there?

Storage droids for infrequently used items.
Keep your singles (food or meds) to a minimum. Keep the bulk of your items in crates. The crates can go in your backpack. The singles can go in your backpack if you have them hotkeyed.
Keep you crafting supplies at home. This is the easiest way to save inventory space. This frees up subcomponent crates as well as a dozen or moreresources. If you have crates of the finished meds, you don't need any crafting supplies.
It can still be a problem if your other profession requires a lot of items, but it's still doable. At any given time, my CM/Dochas about 40 items in my backpack and 30 in main inventory, leaving plenty of room for purchased or looted items.

Your Hotbar is the key to unlocking tons of convenience...
If you place items in a storage droid, I have found that you can pull the itemsout quickly (but cant put them back quickly) by dragging the itemsto your hotbar from the droid storage compartment. Clicking the F-Key will put the item in your main inventory without having to call the droid, A second click will use the item. Pretty cool if you ask me. I use this for my set of Comp armor and shield generator via a macro. You still have to call the droid to put it back in. Also, I have put all of my state cures, poision/disease in my backpack and set them as hotkeys and they function as if they were in your main inventory.
Just some advice from a year old doctor...
Good question, btw..

I have no problems carrying stuff around and plenty of room to spare.
