Just about to be a M Doc & have been seriously considering going into the Medical Supply Business i.e. Making buffs/stims/rezz etc.
My question is this:
1. Do you think you d make more creds selling/making them or just buffing peeps ?
2. What do a set of standard buffs sell for ? Ive briefly checked the forums & cannot seem to find a Medical Price Guide.
3. Having researched the type of harvies/floras etc I'll need, I plan on getting all the materials myself butthe biggest expense seems to be buying in Avian, escpecially if its at 200 cpu.
With this expenditure alone is there any profit to be made, what cap would you place on this, i.e. would you only buy in at 150 cpu.
Thank you

My primary role as a Doctor is Pharmacist. I maintain all the med items on vendors for other people to buy.

My buffs, 860-890 power, 30 charges, 10,000+ duration, sell for about $15,000

I usually hunt the avian with my Alt, or have friends do it. But when I do buy it, 100-150 is usually what I pay for decent stuff, though 200 wouldnt be unacceptable for the very best meat.

Agent001, when you say 15k credits, do you mean for a single attribute of for a full set?
Also, on what planets is Avian mean most prominent in the animals, and from what Mobs?

he ment for a single atribute. a set (all 6 in a pack) goes on ahazi at least, for from 70k to 190k depending on the quality and vender.
u will also need to try and get those extra exp points, what are refered to as "12 point doc's" . this will let you increas the amout of charges and lower the med use to 90, to gain the market of non-master docs.
btw, imyself just buy them...
oh and to find the best avian, goto the craft sites. look in the faq for the address

Avian Meat shifts... It changes every 2 weeks or so... you might want to check out www.swgcraft.comor there is a sticky by Agent001 with a doctor resource list for the current shift ... another site for checking current shift medical resources on your server would be http://swg.dailybuzz.net. To be honest anyone will do .... About the avian meat I ask my guildies or ranger friends to help me get it ... In return I do them favors... or buff them whenever they ask , things of that sort. Cause avian does go from aroudn 200cpu for a good spawn of it.
I sell 930 Power buffpacks with 2hours 45 minuts duration for 25k a stat and they sell very fast
Starting to collect your own resources can be a bit of trouble cause some resources are not in shift and may cost a lot ...
As for the +20 doc exp , yes it is great for getting non master doctor clients and the extra uses are just giving you more for your hard earned resources

How do you get the extra two experimentation points, then, does it have to be through clothing/armour attatchments - and if so, what can you expect to pay for these?

clothing attachments
and IF you can find someone selling them, expect to pay more than1 million credits PER POINT and you need +20 points worth of skill attachmentsto get 2 experimentation points.

on my server +1 goes for about 750k to a mil, but because you cant hit 20 on +1's the higher # ones cost much more, with around +3 it can cost over 2m a point and it goes up, with +5 maybe going for 3m a point. If your in a hurry and want to win every "Rare" auction of these taps, expect to pay top dollar and at least 35m+ a suit, excluding medical apron, so need 15 medical experimentation from CA's. If your more patient, probably less, but only after other rich people get there tapes.

I payed 27 mil on my +20 full suit and 25-30 mil is around the price , I guarantee you that you won't get that doing quenkers
BUT ! If you have good resources and high powered buff packs then most people wont care much about the few extra uses and 89 med use... thats just what I think

12pt docs who craft and sell their wares can make back the investment in a suit. I don't normally make packs for other people but this last week I did. 12.5m for roughly 3 hours of my time and about 2.5m in resources. A mighty profit for the effort involved.
If you were into making money, 12pt doc with the highest resources works well.

/gasps you been taking my neighborhood buisness away! ![]()
If its all about the money for you, Id suggest well.. why not both? Craft your meds to sell on your vendor, and take a pack or two from each run and buff the public if you like doing that. Unless your products sell extrememly fast (mine go way way to fast) you should have some time in between your crafting, harvs, factory running, to be able to go and buff ppl or loot hunt or whatever youd like.
