Thread: Ultimate PVE Template, MDoc+TKA or MDoc+Sword?

Im looking for opinions on the ultimate PVE template, for soling NS in praticular, but just any high end mobs im looking to solo. Please post your reasons.
Im already a zabrak for equilibrium, I was thinking TKA because of powerboost, the tons of states, and good damage
I hear swords is very good for damage output, but there def is crap and they have no utility skills, Im not even sure if they get a dizzy kd its been a long time sence I masterd. BUT there damage output is crazy with the 600ish hammers, hard to speed cap though, and expensive.

Also, if you go swords and dont have speed tapes then look for a well crafted damage hammer that has a speed good speed slice. your dps will be higher.
In PvE it is rarely helpful to kd/dizzy creatures.
If for no other reason go swords so you can use kin and blast damage types. In PvE this is very helpful.

Swordsman is the acknowledged King of PvE.
But even as a Master Doc, Master Sword....expect a 10 minute fight with an NS Elder.

The high end MODs are generally very resistant to Kinetic and will laugh at TKMs as they kill them.
Swordsman has blast damage.
Dizzy/KD has already been nerfed so dont choose a profession for PvE based on that.
Intimidate is the best state in PvE and Novice Brawler gets it.

Yeah....maybe you should try the 2H and TKA forums for info on how well their skills work.

Not that anyone has said it here, but anyone that would answer TKM would be either naive or just a plain ol' fool. I'd like to see a TKM take on any Krayt as effectively as I can as a MDoc/MSwords... or an Elder/Councilwoman at all.
Swords > TKM in PvE, hands down, no arguement, end of discussion.

swords everytime for the above reasons plus tka only has light armour piercing and swords has medium - makes a massive difference to damage output imo

You mention Elders in particular. This rules out TKs since Elders have 100% kinetic resistance. Swords is the way to go for elders.

Sorry, you mentioned NS in particular. I have been soloing elders lately and automatically see elder when I see NS. There are a few SM clan and NS clan that are 100% kintic resistant but most accept kinetic damage so if elders aren't among your intended prey then TK will do fine.
btw, if you are starting fresh (0000 brawler) swords is a faster grind do the fact that the VK can't be used until novice TK wearas 2 handed can use a mighty powerful 2 handed sword quite early in the grind.
