Ok.. I am a lazy Doc as inI dont make my own buffs,I buy them. However in the past week i have noticed that most of my usual vendors are empty. So off i go checking other vendors but they where all empty too. Before long I began to hear several comments on Avian meat shortages.

Needless to say this is causing a serious amount of concern..even if i made my own buffs i would still be in big trouble and I am seeing considerably less buffing activity in coronet. Many Docs i have spoken to have also run out and cannot find more.

I dont use buffs to make my cash (if anyone asks I only charge about 8-10k hence the name but thats not my character name if anyone is wondering :biggrin, I buff myself and use my master swordsman to make money in solo hunt groups..a lot more fun if u ask me...and i definatly would not have been able to do my phase 3 combat quest without the ability to buff myself if killed and rez and rebuff my group partners.

I hope that this issue is fixed before too long...BTW im on the farstar server so i dont know what the situation is on other servers....Anyone else having this problem?

If you don't sell buffs for cash, then why worry about about a buff pack shortage?

Don't sell buffs till there are more packs on the vendors.

I worry about shortagebecause....

1) It's extremly usful to be able to buff myself in the field when buff fizzles

2) buffing myself means I dont have to sit in queues for ages which means i can spend more time gathering xp for FS conversion

3) Guild members love me for free buffs

If you are a Starport buffer, it is your fault for selling cheap buffs and not having holdout packs for the short times.

Surely you dont think there are constant spawns of good items.

Stockpile your credits and packs.

Sounds to me likeyou sold yourself cheap and are paying the price for it now.

I'd just like to address the one comment "if I made my own buffs, it would be the same thing" or something to that effect... I don't believe this to be true, b/c if you made your own buffs, that's alot more you have in one clump than buying them, and it's alot easier to get your hands on 8000 avian/reactive gas and make 50 sets of buffs [yes, that's 50 of each pack] using only 6900 of it [of course the extra is for experimentation purposes].

Of course, in order to build the packs that you are accustomed to using, chances are you'd have to get to being a 12 point doc, which is not cheap [cost me 27m to do it ], and have awesome resources, many of which have been out of spawn for quite some time. So in the end, you'd end up buying your buffs anyways I'm sure. Just wanted to point out, if you make your own, the last thing you need to worry about is running out, heh.

Sounds like You need to stock up, a while back I hit a dry spell as well, good avien meat dried up, and I neglegted to put enough maintenance in one of the factories I was operating, had to be the one that was working on my most recent run, lost all my avien meat, a full run, and a good chunk of my stock of gas. Looking at my vendor, I realised I had only 20 sets left and no stock in reserve, so I pulled 2 sets for myself and went on the meat hunt of the century, must have scoured the galaxy and found only piddly amounts of different variety, seems the hunters were holding back on auctions to drive up prices as well, lesson learned, I keep 100k maintenance in all structures always, and at least 100 sets of packs in storage, if not 3 times that, reacently I got damned lucky and came into a large stack of cheap high end avien as well, wont get caught with my pants down next time.

The thing is, I have not sold cheap buffs. The only time I ever buff other people apart from guild members is if they catch me buffing myself and ask for oneand thats usually out in the wilderness. In my time as a Doc, i've proberly only buffed about 20 people other then guild members.

Just wait until JTL comes out. The shortages that will happen then will make this seem tame.

I've just started going on the mission of crafting my own buffs on eclipse, I'm worried that it'll be too long before good resources come and shift. Guess i'll just start to do what everyone says and stockpile and wait.

That's some damn nice avian, Diggers.

When you get a minute, could you send some of it over to Flurry

We haven't had a spawn that good for a little while either.

Not to worry though - I have my reserves to fall back on...

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall
