im not one of those ppl who sit at the starports shouting, i am more of a by request type. when i want to be bothered i wear my label, when i dontwant to be bothered, i wear another label. anyway i was sitting at the medic center grinding steel for another profession and this guy comes up to me and says, "can you buff me, can you buff, can you buff, can you buff, can you buff."
it was my fault sincei had forgot to remove my label so i told the guy, ...ok, ill buff you. the guy told me he couldnt pay me which wasok because beinga doc isnt how i make my money.so i buffed the guy and then the guy says to me, "why are they so bad?"
this didnt get to me. i didnt know if the guy was beingserious or not so i just explained to the guy everything that affects buffs. i was sitting there in my armor, notmy clothes, no food in my tummy and of course nodroid out. after i explained that to the guy he wanted me to use my food, switch my clothes andrebuff him. so then iquickly reminded him how annoying he had been when asking to be buffed, that i was grinding and that i wasnt being paid. he hadnothing to sayafter that and left.
i dontoffer less service to the poor, although idont think this guy waspoor, however this was the first guy who was unappreciative of free service. the packs i use range from 816, my low, to 886, my highest. i know they arent the best, you could find better on the bazaar, but i have never had a paying person say they werent enoughor callthem "so bad." my first unsatisfied customer who wasnt really a customer but still was a patient. i dont like sending patients away unhappy but this guy did it to him ownself.

I think you'll always find a complainer regardless of the situation. The people who laughed at my enhance A's and B's as I buffed them back in the early days of my medical career didn'tcare that there HAM was significantly higher than it was, and I wasn't even charging credits for them.
As a Master Smuggler on another toon, people would complain about the type of slice, the percentage increase, even try to make me do the exploiting powerup slice, and I only ever work on tip only or "tip what you can afford". Never give a smuggler a PSG and ask for an effectiveness slice, chances are you'll never get one anyway unless you go through a couple of crates. I just sliced my guildmates and for myself from then on.
My doc toon operates a bit like yours, my buffs seldom match and hit 2200-2300 and I never do buff queues or the public, only when I'm politely asked. My pricing policy of "tip what you can afford" seems to be working well(0-2k from broke players-30k) People bank tip me days later when they have some money and email me to say thanks!!. I don't like to charge for buffs because I'm here to enjoy myself and I don't want to sit for hours and compete with the 2500 3.5hrs crew.
I want to cover my crafting costs and get on with the game, I have to spend 10 minutes just to get a mind buff, thank God I don't have to stand in a buff queue too!! I do however expect to be treated with a little respect , even for a non-uber buff because it's free/cheap. So the guy who was spamming "can you buff, can you buff" didn't actually include a "please" in there somewhere. If he did I bet you would have been more inclined to pull your droid and clothes etc and then he may havetipped you 15k for helping him out.

Wow what an arse. I do admit tho i warn people how good or bad the buffs are gonna be and i tell them that I charge for the biv. I've actually had the opposite situation. I was on dathomir and this guy asks me to buff him. I was just passing through and told him that my buffs would onlt be 16-1700 becuse i was out of biv, had no clothes, and i'm not master yet and that I would only chrge him 9k. So I check the baktip email and he tips me 25k. Frankly I was stunned. I'm sorry to hear bout that one guy complaining about a free buff. That is just not cool.
