Thread: What prof to go with DOC?

What other profession should i use to accompany DOC i will probably become a full crafting doc and i will hunt my stuff myself and want to participate in a lot of pvp and pve basically a lot of fighting and money on the side
I currently like TKM/DOC but what are other good combos

Swordsman is good, I hear ... an additional damage type, and the lesser defenses and state defenses aren't such a problem if you can heal quickly anyway.

This is my combo, MD and MCM and the rest in pistol for marksman. I enjoy both abilities of playing a support role with some combat experience to defend myself a little when things get tight.

Wait to change after the combat pass.

Wait for what? There may be whispers of change in the winds but it's hard to say when those winds will get here and what changes they bring is all speculation. I think that once these changes come to pass that 75% of the players will adjust their current templates since I imagine the ranged profs will become a bit more useful.
But for now, there is nothing bad I can say about swords for PVE at least. Mixing Doc with Swords means you can solo any single mob in the game. Keep the mob intimidated and bash it's head inwhile youfix your state issues and bleeds as they happen. As long as your buffs are good and you don't messyour stomach up too bad, you will take out anything....as long as they don't bring too many friends along.

The Devs are supposedly starting the Sandobox server after the JtL beta end in a couple of weeks.
Do you want to drop your current profession only to find it is not getting nerfed or it actually becomes worth keeping in a few months?

I'll tell you now, straight up... get a second account. You say you wanna become a full crafting doc, collecting your own resources, but also play in PvP... if you can't get a 2nd account, then I suppose the best I can figure is MDoc/MSword/0001 Artisan for surveying. If you can get a 2nd account, go for MDoc/MSwords or TKM [MSwords > TKM for PvE, but TKM > MSwords until you can get high speed and high damage hammers], along with whatever you want, like 1000 Scout. On the 2nd account, maybe MSwords/MArtisan/3040 Scout/4040 Medic... that way you can collect your resources on an account you can keep all 10 lots free for harvesters, and you got the means to collect organic resources, and you got full surveying along with enough medic to use Stim Ds, or even Stim Es from a good 12pt Doc.
Note the emphasis on MSwords... this is, for now, the best PvE profession, and it's not bad in PvP either. Don't let anyone try to tell you otherwise... as an MDoc/MSwords, there is nothing I can't kill short of the Vette and DWB mobs [*cough*SBDs*cough*].

I currently like my master doc/ master swordsman...... can pretty much solo anything.
