Thread: Droid with Crafting station
OK, So I wasted a few K on ignorance last night by buying a droid that had "Medical rating 75", thinking that I would be able to craft Stim-C's wherever I want. OK, so now I know that stat just means I can heal wounds in the field... cool enough, but not what I was looking for. By the way, what is the rating for medical on a droid mean anyway? That medicine use requirement on a wound pack needs to be less than that number?
Anyway, my real question is... what do I want in a droid to be able to craft on the go? What type of droid has a personal crafting station (like what is required to make Stim-D's) that I can tote around with me?
I checked the Bazar and found nothing but droids that had HAM, a default personality chip, and a medical rating. I asked a DE what I should look for, and said to get a MSE (huh???), and that he couldnt make crafting modules. What should the cost be to me for something I can use?
I am a Master DE, you need a droid with a Food/Chem Crafting Station. The 75 means you heals are 75% effective as compared to the Med Center. You probably want a R2 or Surgical Droids with a Food/Chem Craft, And a Med chip with rating of 110%.I usually make and sell these for about 10-12K. If you get an Advanced R2 you can even add item storage so you can store you med stuff. Lvl 6 item is 10 units I think
To heal in the field you must havea Surgical Droid. Other droids can have the personal crafting station in them but no droid other then the surgical will enable you to heal wounds outside a camp or med center.

That is not excactly correct... I use my Probot to heal in the field all the time... The problem is when you get the message "You must be in a camp or medical centre of have a surgical droid" your droid is low on power. Need to recharge him with a battery to reactivate his medical droid capabilities.
Fading away doesn't really mean much. I had and R2 that would say that all the time, but he worked fine. Not sure though.
