I was reading the notes from test center and read something about performance buffs now working of the minimum instead of the maximum. Are they nerfing our buffing abilities?I really hope not since it seems to be one of my better money makers.I'm hoping I just missunderstood what I read. Can anyone clarify this. Thanks

It's in the test center patch notes for 11-26in the combat section.Says something about perfoemance buffs being based of the minimum attribute instead of the maximum. If that's trues won't that dramatically decrease the power of our buffs?

THere's been no mentioned of any kind of reducing our buffs.

THe patch note in question reads:

"Performance buffs now modify the players base attribute not their current max attribute."

Now consider that when you have an attribute it lists 2 parts, the base level and the max. Unbufffed those numbers are the same, but if you already have a buff (say from spice) on an attribute your Max will now actually be higher. I think the problem with folks going incap and getting screwed up statd had to do wtih a buff adding it's affect on top of that Max value instead of hte base. In other words it added to the top, not the bottom. Pretty much what we are looking at is the fix for not being able to use multiple buffs without screwing ourselves up, if I read that correctly.

Good to hear.I wasn't sure if by going by the minimum attribute it would somehow affect the strength of our buffs. Thanks for the clarification on the matter.

Yes this is not a nerf... all it means is it will buff based on unspiced/fooded stats to prevent super-buffing.. I also understand this was the cause of many bugged stats..

I was thinking it was based on wounds as well. 950 is used instead of 1000 if you have 50 wounds. Not sure if anyone tested this out as the only way I know of would be to get to 1 health and the rest wounds.

It appears to be primarily directed at TKA's and people with entertainer mind buffs. TKAmeditate skill (i believe its powerboost) increasestheir stats to 50% of their mind pool. Entertainer mind buffs double your mind stats. Its probable at the moment that these buffs interact, and possibly are affected by spice and food (though I've never tried it).

Interesting I thought this was the way it worked already?
It will mean that food and spices become a lot more useful as well.

Some of the food etc is really good but because of the bug people don't use it. If this fixes that its great.
