What exactly does /registerwithlocation do and what is it's purpose?

/registerwithlocation when inside a med center will put a tag on the planetary map allowing people who view the map to see that the med center in which you registered is occupied with a medical personal. That is al i t does

If I am not mistaken, if you register with a factional base's hospital, you get a bonus to healing and buffing while there. Wouldn't swear an oath on that though. Maybe someone can confirm?
