Thread: n0ob Doctor seeks help (the creation/use of woundpacs/stims/buff etc)
I cant claim to have searched the entire SWG site for my questions but i HAVE spent quite a lot of time searching without result. So excuse me if this is not the right forum.
I'm on my way in the doctor profession and have achieved 1/2/1/2. When I check my skill tree I find out that I am supposed to be able to craft Stim-D's. And on one or two occasions I have seen that option in my crafting tool, but now it seems to have been lost or something. No realy, I know it is not lost, but I just can't figure out what I am supposed to do to be able to craft these again. Also I have recently aquired the skill to craft Enhance Health/Action- B (well at least according to my skill tree) but again, these items are nowhere to be found when I open the tool. I thought it might have something to do with me not being near a crafting station, but thats seems not to be the case. Tried that several times at the public crafting station on Coronet. But I HAVE seen these items once. I was in the Med Center and sat down to wait for some patients and used the time to craft a few woundpacks. All the items that I could possibly want (well nearly) were on the list in my crafting tool. Now I can't for the life of me remember if the master doc that was there also, had a medical droid with him, but I am beginning to think that this might have something to do with it. Can someone please explain to me what I have been doing wrong, and what I need to do in the future? It's rather pointless to have the skill to craft these items if you are unable to anyway.
And now my second question:
Every once in a while you hear someone yell "selling buffs". To be able to perform the Enhance-A's that I have been able to craft, I have to be either in a camp, near a Med Droid or in a Med fascillity. At least that's what I am being informed when I try it somewhere else. Will I be able to administer enhancements outside these localities when I reach a certain level Doc, or have these sellers I mentioned had a med droid nearby in order to be able to do it that I have just overlooked? I guess I could ask the same question about wound treatment and resuscitation kits (spelling). Mind you, I don't have the skill for resuscitation yet so I don't know if my question even applies in that respect. I'm just anticipating the same problem.
It would be a great help to me if one of you veteran Docs could help out a n00b with answering these questions.
I got tons more questions but I will spare you those untill a later date
.
1. You have to have a private crafting station nearby, public one in towns won't cut it. Most docs usually have one in the droid they have or in their house/PA. If you don't have the cash for one of these, see if you can find an open house where there is one located and you can "borrow" one for a bit.
2. You need to be in a camp/med-center or have a droid out with medical capabilities in it to buff. (110 rating is the highest for droids) Having the droid out enables you to buff and heal wounds wherever. Also, you don't need to have a droid out ro rez, this is like using stimpacks.
You need a Private Crafting Station, not a Public one. They look exactly the same except you own teh Private Station.
In the Hospital, the Doc had a droid with a Private Crafting Station Mod, but due to a bug, you were able to pull up the schematics when his droid was out.
You will either need to purchase a Droid with a Station Mod in it. Or get a house and buy and drop a Private Crafting Station in it.
Also,if you buy a droid (which I recommend you do) get one with a Medical Mod in it as well. Make sure the Droid Engineer you go to can make one with an efficency of 110.
Get one Droid with:
Medical Mod ( lvl 6 for the 110 rating )
&
Food/Chemical Station Mod
Thankyou for the speedy replies. I have gotten myself a droid and as far as I can tell, it lives up to the standards that you have described.
It was nice to get those questions cleared up, and I hope others benefitted from your replies as much as I did.
Thanks
