Thread: to buy or not to buy....

I was curently pondering the possiblity of picking up doctor to buff for cash and self buff. I was wondering ifI just picked up Doctor 0/2/00 for the heal enhance ability if i would get the 2500+ buffs or if you need master Doctor for that. Also, my big question is: Is it esier and still profitable to buy buffs from another Doctor?

You need master doctor to get 2500 power buffs. 0240 will get you to around 2000. 0200? Well, 300 or so for 30 minutes with enhance As maybe?
They probably exist, but you don't see doc dabblers that sell buffs to the public. There are of course lots of dabblers that self-buff or do private (i.e. guild) buffing.

In order to make it worth it, you'd need 0440 imo .... can you get 2500 buffs with that? yes ... but you'd need 1011+ Janta buffs to do it or about 925 power buffs when buffed inside a player city with med specialization ... assuming be clothes, bivoli, droid, etc.
these are approximate guesses, someone correct me if I'm wrong ....

yes. Easier? Definatly absolutly without a doubt. Profitable? If it wasn't I wouldn't still be in business as I'm one of the higher priced buff pack sellers on my server and I usually sell out within 24-48 hours of restocking

Well you actually only need x44x to hit the 2000s with ok buffs. Be warned, if you're buffing at a starport, expect your line to go real slow if you don't have the Speed tree (is also nice for PvP since you can get rid of your own Poisons and Fires).

Really, you need 4440 to buff the public for money, minimum. 0340 or 0440 is fine for buffing guildies or yourself. But the speed line is really important because buff queues fill up FAST and people get annoyed if the wait is long.
I do a couple of million in buffing business a week with my MD and there are definitely times that I pop a havla (and eat the cost)to knock out five or six people becasue the queue is getting ridiculous.
Truthfully, though, you'll want to be a master for more reasons that that, if you want to make money. Don't know about your server, but the buffing business on Corbantis seems to be getting a bit glutted, with sometimes two or three docs in busy places like Dantooine mining outpost. Generally I find that I'm either immediately flooded with business or there's no demand at all, it's hit or miss. And in that environment, you can't be selling slow 1900 or 2000 buffs when there are three master docs buffing. At least, not for a price that justifies buying the packs, because without MD you can't make them, and you'll need to be a 12 point MD (and pony up 20 million or so for tapes) before you can make them at a competitive level anyway.
In short, I'd go master if you want to sell buffs. If buffing's your goal and you don't want the immersion of leveling the doc, you can grind MD in two days.

i sold 200 stim b's in like 12 hrs at 3k a piece, from at least 10 different people. buffs take about a week to roll out, thank GOD.
