I've been here since Launch and never played as an Artisan or Crafter, I place down a Factory today, had the schematic, resources etc. Placed the resources and schematic into the factory.
Unfortunately, the factory says I have 0 power yet I have over 5-10k energy in my inventory. I know this is pretty sad and I should know what to do but I don't. I was raised in SWG as a simple Bounty Hunter and I need some assistance on getting my factory up and running. lol

You need to have wind energy, solar energy, or radioactive power to power up a factory (same as a harvester).
You can either harvest it yourself, or buy it (there is typically plenty on the bazaar to get you started). If you have the option, buy radioactive power with high PE as it gives you a bonus to the amount of power that your factory will receive from the power that you put in (1000PE radio will power up your factory the same as 2 units of wind or solar energy).

Your post said you have 5-10k energy in your inventory. It didn't say that you actually deposited the power into your factory, which you need to do.

it sounds like you put power into the "input hopper". that won't work. use the radial menu, choose 'structure management', and 'deposit power'

LOL .. yes, I read what you wrote .. but I had kids asking me questions left and right. I hit submit before I was finished and just said frig it, someone else will answer.
BTW, did you get it up and running yet?
