Please correct me if I have read the new CURB post wrong but...
There is enough xp to get MMedic/MPikeman/MDoc and be the new tank, right? Self buff, best self heals and can stack the states on while ur rifleman mate hangs back and dishes the damage?
Anybody reads today's CURB info suggesting a better tank?

I dunno if I will be keeping Master Medic, will have to test that out, but yup thats my template of choice. The only better tank would be TK...

Ya, I'll prob drop most of medic after I find out what I can craft. Then it will be onto loading up on some scout skills.... wait I have to fill another brawler line to keep pikeman....

Yes but consider we only really need 2 lines in medic...if we don't need it, you should still be able to get some scout.

It should bedecent template depending on it they are using global, profession orskillspecific cooldowns on specials. (or variations)
Skill specific is a timer only applying to that skill while other skills can be used in the meanwhile (Pole or Doc)
Profession specific would be a single skills that sets all of that professions skills into the cool down state to prevent skill spamming.
Global would be a skill that coolsdown ALL skill no matter the profession. If this is the case, Pole specials will cause the Doc skills to cycle and more likely kill you more often than not. Another example of a bad global would be a long cooldown on a Rezz skill, causing all Pole skills to cooldown.
Global cooldowns would prevent the template here you are talking about. Considering that they are trying to prevent "one person doing everything" I can see them doing it.

If they did the Global Cool down that would be silly. Those of use that want to remain Doctors....really couldn't be anything else. Global Cooldowns is a bad idea, I personal this it will be Profession Based...
You use one....cool down....set "Heal" has the 2nd action...cooldown...attack....etc. Basicaly how it works today only a little more depth. I mean if its a global cool down we might as well be a healer and nothing else. Doesn't make much sense to me considering they are going to allow everyone to use stims.

I doubt there will be global cooldowns.. but I'll bet you all the cool pike moves will take soem time to trigger and execute... so while you CAN use the doc skill right after your use the pike skill (during the pike cooldown), you can't use it DURING the pike skill (or a pike skill on a different timer)... I don't think I was as clear as I could be...that's why i'm saying 70 30... though I suppose you can split is any way you like on your own.. 50 50 etc.
the cool bit with SWG will be depending on which professions you have in group, you can switch off for different mob NPC types. For some mobs/NPCS the pike Doc will be the best tank, for others, say ranged weighted NPCs.. the Pike doc can then play doc, while the rifelman/ Doc does the smackdown. It is one of the strengths of the profession system, you have a choice of jobs...

I have some scout now, so I'll just get the terrain negotiation line. Something that I've actually been wanting to add for a while now.
Just glad they are letting us move around sp for free when this hits.

No, it won't work.
From the public docs, and the skills up and down timers. If you are tanking, you will probably be too busy tanking to heal much... at least in a non-solo role against weaker opponents.
With the ability to flag youreself in group as a "doc, or pikeman" to tell your group what role you are playing, it seems to me they are not planning for you to be able to fully play all your profesion roles at once.. .at least not to 100% effectiveness.
Again in your edxample.. if the rifleman was the doc, then he could not be as effective at healing you if he were also using a lot of rifle specials.
This is not to say tyou can't do both... but i'll bet on aroudn a 70-30% spliet between what your main role in the group is and the secondary role.
If you are tanking, then expect to be 70% effecftive (hater management + damage) and only 30% effective at healing yourself (wich will probably get you dead vs. hard opponents.
Though if you AND your friend were docs... you could get 60% of the healing covered (30% each)...
Again, these aren't real numbers, but I would nto expect in this new system that you'll be able to uee all of your abilities from all of your professions all at once, because of time limitations.. Every time you are swinging the pike, you aren't healing yourself. While a dedicated doc could be, and a dedicated pikeman would do more fdamage by focusing 100% on kpike skills. Though as a Pike/Doc you would have 2 choices as to what you could be doing in the group when you join.

Well here is why I'm going Doctor / Pikeman....Pikeman is a Tank / Crowd Control (kinda) profession. Basically Doctor is a Frontline healer.....it makes more sense to have a front line fighter. So in the event I do get "Hate" or agroed, I can atleast defend myself until the group pulls the stupid thing off me.
But your right I don't expect to be able to do both profession at the same time like we can right now.
