Thread: Master Doc + any combat oriented class.
With rifle speed attatchments, i am amazing. I will win a duel against ANY other ranged profession, and win 3/4 of my duels against brawler elite classes (curse you dizzy/kd). Rifle is the best imo, but mixing doc with master _________ magnifies your effectiveness by amazing amounts.
No longer do you need to worry about any ham costs wearing full composite (accept for mind, but food fixes that). Just spam your best special over and over untill the enemy dies, because unless they are a master rifleman like me, they will never be able to get through your 3000 action and health, especially if you are in composite armor.
Doc+Rifleis certainly a very powerful combo for humans with the way their stat migration limits are currently layed out.
For every race that hasbalanced stat mins and maxes (all the others), it's good but not quite so amazing.

Interesting -- do you find that Focus is more important than Willpower with your rifle specials? Since I'm not a Rifleman,I don't know.
I tend to go for the higher regen rate (Willpower) to get that mind damage restored as quickly as possible. Honestly, I've never tinkered around with flip/flopping Focus and Willpower, so I'm genuinely interested in your rationale.
H.
Focus is far more important for Rifleman IMO, especially in PvP. The mind cost is just astronomical and firing at or nearthe speed cap regen is almost irrelevant -without a high focus stat you will empty your mind poolin no time. As a non-human rifleman I use 2 ryshcates to get my focus up to 1300 or so and then I can use specials without leaving my self completely vulnerable after a few shots, although I still have to watch it. Only after adding Muon on top of that can I spam specialsindefinitely. I am so envious of the current human stat limits.
Having a high willpower stat just means you spend less time sitting on your butt after draining your mind pool (if you're lucky enough to have survived the battle in that condition).
I use a human MasterDoc/Rifleman. Frankly all of the mind stats are important if you are going to persue rifleman. I use a combination of foods/drinks/spice in order to maintain my mind. I found the best solution is this:
1100mind
800focus
1100willpower
I buff all other stats. I have swapped my mind stats all over and as mentioned use foods to boost my mind stats. If you put your mind to low then you spam a couple shots and your mind is dangerously low, you run into the same problem with focus as well. Willpower helps in several different areas since it determins the speed of regeneration.
this is ultimately my reasoning for this set up. If you search through foods/drinks etc... to buff up your mind you will find that the best one for the mind itself is angerian fishak, coming in at about 600mind for 800sec's one of the best mind buff foods out there. Next you will notice that 99% of the foods don't help with willpower at all. The only other mind stat is for focus, or is so minimal that it would hardly be noticed.
Before duel or when preparing for mobs I start by running a macro that ingests angerian fishak and2-3 ryshcate This bumps my mind up to about 2k and each ryshcate adds about 400 to my focus so 800-1200 focus which puts my total focus up to 1600-2k. and my willpower still stays at about 1100. This is usually enough for me to get through most mobs or 1-2 PvP matches. I also always carry around Muon gold for that extra little boost if needed. Which I actually take as well while dueling since most people target the mind(bumps mind up to over 2.5k and boosts both secondaries as well).
I can get through most mobs without ever having to touch my muon(no downer on foods) and usually have enough time for the food/drink to pass before I need to consume another set.
