Thread: Reliably buffing

Is there any way I can reliably buff for at least 1k ?

I was buffing earlier tonight and I was laying them out for anywhere between 800 (800! from a lvl D buff!! grr) to nearly 3000, I'd settle for a reduced upper end if I could increase the base minimum to a reasonable amount.

Same here, but I've now ot a 110% med use droid, hopefully that extra 10% will bump my 800s to a slightly more respectable figure.

I believe bio enhanced clothing can alos do some good?

Yes, Bio-enhanced clothing (the figure you really need for buffing is Wound Tratment skill and the max you can get will be +25... well you can get more, but the system will only figure out with +25 added to your base skill, max.) will help to improve your average. The only other place taht would help would be at a factional HQ with a med center in it that you could /register at. That's supposed to give you another +25, I think, as well. I'm not sure if the total of all of those would only be +25, though. We were told the total cap, including things like racial mods, was supposed to be +25, but I don't know how the place and droid modifiers fit into that equation.

Ah nice, thanks guys, I'll give that a go.

I think sweetee on Farstar does some nice BE clothing, I'll send her a mail.

Trying now to figure out if I can make master squad leader without borking my master doc. I think so, just about, if I'm lucky

If not I'll have to drop master doc for a couple days until I can master squad leader and drop it (yes, it's a holo profession, bah).

I use ~850s for everything but action and with a 110 droid and +25 clothes I never hit below 1k, or at least I haven't yet :-) if the math works out the"obvious" way then the minimum should be ~1168 with that setup, and that number feels about right given my experience with them, but who knows. Still when you get 1200 for one stat and 3200 for another stat (usually 1200 health, 3200 strength with my luck), it's frustrating.

I believe there are only 5 professions that you cannot master and be a Master Doctor at the same time. They are: Smuggler, Commando, Bounty Hunter, Ranger, and Squad Leader.

simple math +25 be cloth 110 droid master doctor power = P:

(2.25 * 1.1*P)2 >= 1000

2.474*P >=2000

P>= 808.4 = 809

all you need to do is make enhance pack with power over 809 and you can't roll below a 1000 except when someone has excessive battle fatigue.

be aware that your high roll is 3 times your low roll (or 1.5* your avg) so with 809 power your range would be around 1000-3000

Craft your buffs in a Research Center player city, I seem to get better results there anyway

I would also accept a lower maximum, for a higher minimum.
