Scylla doctors, keep quiet about it and go to Lok. Kill pharples, perleks, and flits. They all drop avian meat, which at the moment is Avian Meat (Fofeski) 983 OQ, 821 PE, 908 DR, 211 FL. If you're tired of paying 10cpu for **edit**ty avian meat, capitalize on this. Even a Novice Marksman can kill the pharples. I'm a Novice Pistoleer and smoking flits like it's going out of style, and making 3K a mission, too.

Hey let me ask my fellow docs a question...

HOW do you guys hunt for / obtainyour organic resources? More to the point, how do you get it in sufficiently large stacks to warrant a factory run??It seems frustrating to me... if I need dolevite I go find a spawn, plop a harvester down and leave it for a few days. Then i come back and easily end up with several k of the stuff. But ORGANICS... ugh! Now part of the reason I opened up a second character was to help my Master Doc out with hunting... seeing as how my Master Doctor/Merchant (merchant was Holo #1) wasn't doin too well in that dept... right around the time i got incapped for the third time by damn WHISPER BIRDS I figured "OK... I'm opening a second account." So now... I created my "fighter" char, and my doc/merchant will be "support". So I mastered TK with my new guy.. great, nothing can kill me and I own. BUT... even with Hunting 4 I'm still slow at collecting the meat I need! A friend of mine whois master doc/tkm told me she got 8k of herbivore meat in an afternoon. So I think GREAT... the meat will fly in! But what I find is although the kills are EASY... the meat is sparce. I did a few skreeg lairs... then look at my stack - 1k. ONE lousy k for all this effort.

So what this boils down to... without paying out the nose for it (even then where do you find the suppliers?).... how do you guys manage to obtain large amounts of the stuff??

take up ranger. thats the only way to increase the amount of meat you can get per harvest. or harvest somthing like rancors. rancors give 175 to 300 meat per, I don't know what the equivelent would be that drops herb meat, but thats pritty much it.

I'm learning Pistoleer at the moment. At Pistol III I went to Lok because it had avian meat and I was bored. After I looted one, I started hunting there in earnest. I was there several hours doing flits (they aren't that hard to drop) and I now have over 2K of the stuff, and Pistoleer 0011. Soon as the servers come back up I'll get back to it. I'm just grinding out XP and getting my avian meat at the same time.

I saw a TKA zoom by on a bike and kill a mess of perleks--it was staggering how fast he dropped them. Is their damage output that good!? I was working up Unarmed before I decided to just go with Pistoleer instead--if they kick out that much damage I might just be regretting that decision. I mean this guy was SMASHING them apart, it was just a blur and wham, perlek corpses everywhere.

I'm Master TKA, do about 2300dmg per second, 3300 if I knock them down first.

I hunt my avian on perleck lairs. If I get them close enough together I can do two every 12 minutes or so.

That's just tapping the lair.

I solo'd an Enraged Kimogila in about 3 mins 30 seconds. Yeah TKA is where its at for PvE, it kinda sucks for PvP with all the high % Kinetic armor now.

To get my 50k of this avian spawn so far I've hunted 8+ hours a day, since Tuesday.

I'm on Bria btw.

I find a city with a mission terminal, unequip my VK, and get missions within 800m, run two, tap the lair, harvest (only have hunting 1); wash, rinse, repeat until my eyes are sore and I can't stand it, take a nap, do it again, until its out of spawn.

Oh yeah, make sure you use 30+ vegahash too, its worth it when hunting avian.

Also make sure you use allakazam's creature gallary and hunt whatever the planet has that's highest level, as they drop the most per.
