Thread: Beyond Master Doctor?
- The Outdoorsman (Big Game Hunter)
- Antarian Ranger (possesses minor force resistances and abilities)
- Combat Ranger (master of guerilla warfare)
Those were just examples of ideas I had for the Ranger profession. Now that you hopefully see where I am going with this idea, I would love to see where you would like theDoctors to go after achieving the title of Master Doctor. Any and all input is welcome, but please try to keep it constructive.

Personally I think Master Doctor is fine, the vet idea sounds cool but what would he make, pet stims and vitality pacs that BE's make already? I understand your just thinking of ideas but I personally think Ranger needs to be revamped, other than tracking it's a useless class IMO, although I like your professions that come from master ranger, I think some of those should already be a part of ranger.
Operations specialist = Bonus's to buffs inside Medcenter
Field Expert = Bonus's to stimps when outdoors
Chemist (For reals this time) = Bonus's to Experimentation with meds
Disease/Poison Control Specialist = Counter to the CM field. Area cures states
Not that I have been thinking about this for a while. lol. Been a master Doctor since July03. And still Master Doctor March04

You can be a Master Doctor and Master Combat Medic if you wish. You would still have 18 skil points left too.

Imagine you take all the skills that a Ranger, for example, gets and pile it all into one tree. That is what I am talking about. If you took a stroll over to the Pistoleer boards, perhaps you would see what ideas the combat elites had in mind. Quite constructive I must say.
So what's the idea here? That this would be a specialization beyond doc out of the current 250 sps? Or in addition to it?
Well one suggestion is to allow the creation of a Cyborg Implant Doctor....remember the robotic hand luke had? This would primarily be a crafting class that would create temporary augmentations to increase a few specific categories of skills ....it would be slightly redundant with chef food..but so are buffs...and would last for a number of uses, rather than wear off after a timer...so more like armor. It could improve the same sets of skills that skill tapes improve....accuracy/speed/defense/experimentation etc. possibly stacking with them....
To keep these augmentations in line..the class could require mastering doctor and the engineering line of artisan... and require products made by several crafting classes to create though final creation and implementation woud be by the C. I. Doc. (ie like buffs not stims, so only applied by a doctor).
Course the implants would require some negative effects like encumberance, and people would be limited to how many implants they can get at one time.......but I havent thought this through alot...just up late b/c I drank too much tea.
