Do they work? I've tried it a couple of times....and i dont recall myself resisting any.

Remember that a creature will attempt to poison/disease you many times. At best you always have a 1 in 20 chance of getting the poison ro disease. So if your hitting a lair and there are 5 mobs that attack you if they each try 4 times to poison/disease then you will get poison or diseased even with the best of resist buffs.
