novice Doctor here. I was providing first aid for a PvP melee competition last night (Fight Club, outside of Mos Eisly, starsider) and I was getting the "not wise to help this person" message, by the way, I hate that message, and I think its bugged.

anyways, there was another doctor there and he was able to heal. I am neutral, and I know I can't heal overt faction members, and Im ok with that.

I admit I don't know much about PvP and healing, but how was he able to heal, and not I?

Well I'm almost a master doctor and I get that msg alot as well and from what ive seen i only get it when trying to heal anyone that belongs to either rebel or imperial so id assume its the same for you as I'm neutral as well It is not a bug its suppose to be this way.

You can only heal ppl of your faction (i.e. neutral heals neutral, imperial heals imperial, and rebel heals rebel)

I am aware that I can not heal overt faction members, but don't they either have a symbol of athe rebel alliance or the empire by their name?

let me restate what I said.

I was providing first aid for a PvP melee contest last night, I saw no overt imps or rebels at the fight. There was another doctor there, he had no trouble healing the contestants. I did have trouble. I continualy got the "Unwise" message.


so I have two questions:
1) How was it that he was able to heal, an I am not?
2) as a neutral doctor, am I unable to heal covert faction members?

as far as i can tell this also goes for covert members as well you wont see a symbol for them but still cant heal them

I'm not exactly sure about this, but here's something I've noticed from personal experience: If I'm in a group with my friend, and he enters a duel, I can heal him while he's dueling. But other than that instance, it will always give me the unwise to heal message. That's the only reason I can think of. Was the medic healing ALL of the combatants, or only just 1 or 2? Maybe you should ask him ingame, if you remember his name.

I am not sure if this is a bug or not but I did find a way to heal rebels while I am neutral. there is a hotkey that looks like a cross that if you hit it, it will heal a rebel. You get no exp for it is the down side but you can keep your friends alive though. Oh and yes it does take up your supplies to.
