Grind something useful and then keep it. I ground stim c's to master med crafting. I made a ton of em and im still using them up. Im glad i did too. They are useful.

Stim Bs are good for grinding. You can craft them anywhere. It has been a couple weeks but I believe a stim B plus the subcomponents gives 202 xp. A stim C only gives 208. I've lost my scratch paper with the exact numbers.

I used any resources I could get to grind the xp. I ended up selling the stim Bs almost as fast as I could place them on the market. So, grind away and actually make a litte cash.

IF money/resources are not an issue for you, the absolute best item to grind is Liquid Suspensions and Bio Effect Controllers. Let's look at the numbers:

Assumptions...
1) You are manually crafting.
2) This is per tool being used, if the tools are in constant operation.
3) I am not on crack and my numbers are correct.

Bio Effect Controller:
Crafting Time - 19
Experience - 35
Experience/Minute - 110.5
Experience/Hour - 6631.6

Liquid Suspension:
Crafting Time - 19
Experience - 35
Experience/Minute - 110.5
Experience/Hour - 6631.6

Chemical Mech:
Crafting Time - 39
Experience - 35
Experience/Minute - 53.8
Experience/Hour - 3230.8

Stim A:
Crafting Time - 19
Experience - 25
Experience/Minute - 78.9
Experience/Hour - 4736.8

Stim B:
Crafting Time - 53
Experience - 55
Total Time - 130
Total Experience - 160
Experience/Minute - 73.8
Experience/Hour - 4430.8

Stim C:
Crafting Time - 63
Experience - 65
Total Time - 130
Total Experience - 170
Experience/Minute - 78.5
Experience/Hour - 4707.7

It is very easy to establish a Rhythm for crafting only one item for an extended period of time, plus failures don't screw you over as much. Since you aren't crafting meds for the field, you can use any sort of item that fits the slot and not worry about medical effectiveness. You also don't need to go through experimentation steps for the same reason.

While I trust the figures you name, you should add that your crafting efficiency can co up by at least 75%, possibly 100% if you get a second crafting tool. That way you're constantly dealing with componants and experimentation on one tool while the other is producing your item. This is how I grind, and I find that I have very little downtime.

I used 4 crafting tools at once when I was grinding out my xp. I didn't bother with experimentation, it's a waste of time when your focus is gaining xp, you get the same regardless. Basically grinding out a full crafting tree for me was getting 20k random water, 20k random organic and churning out Liquid Suspensions.

The fastest item to grind on should be Advanced Infection Amplifiers since they consume 56 resource units in a single combine. I can't actually confirm this since I haven't been able to find Eleton Reactive Gas...but since the xp per combine is mostly a function of number of resources used it makes sense.

The limiting time factor is not the time it takes a kit to produce an item but the time it takes you to click thru the crafting wizard screens...
