Thread: Advantage of being a master doctor?

I was thinking of stopping at 0-4-3-4. Is there a benefit of getting master? Is the speed increase that good? Do enhances get much more powerful?


Does anyone else think there should be better perks for master docs?

Honestly, there isn't that much benefit of going to master doc from where you are now. There is a bonus to wound treatment so you'll find that you can heal wounds and perform enhancements better as a master doc than you can now. And, as far as the speed increase goes, I don't even know that it's working - I've never noticed an increase in how fast I can treat wounds.


The only other thing you're going to be missing is the ability to craft a handful of things (including the D enhancements for secondary stats, which are quite nice).


And, yes, I do wish there was a bit more to being a master doctor. *sigh*

I feel the same way but I can't put my finger on what would could be added. What would be a nice addition to the master doc box?


AoE and terrain bonuses would be nice but they are in the CM line.


We aren't combat or weapons people so no defense bonuses or attack bonuses.


Heal mind damage is a can of worms.


Reduced mind cost for healing would be nice. What do you all think of that?

Check Zarlor's list of issues. I believe that issue is #9. It's been discussed many times before. There are lots of good (and some not so good, in my opinion) floating around out there.

I feel that every profision needs a "special" something for being a master of it. unfortunatly its easy to see what a combat person could get a new weapon or new move. But as for Non-Combat professions its a little hard to put something in.Maybe a stim/wound/enhance pac that only a Master Doctor could use or how about all 3 .


I do like the less mind cost though.

I luv master. I see a of differences. Without the speed like you can't heal poisen (which if you have ever encountered an ememy combat medic, well.. it sucks). I only noticed a huge difference in speed near the waay top. Also with master doc I can make res kits, my number one thing I use and make money from using! I LUV master, LOVE IT!

What I would like is a nurse. You know to take appointments and stuff while I am at my yatch.


But knowing Dev like I do, they'd never go for all my brilliant ideas.


I guess they can give us something lame like


ENHANCED REVIVE (CLONE)


Which is a kit that we can make or more likely BE/DE can make and we drop it to ground like camp.


And we can "clone" anyone from anywhere to where we are.


So okay this is cheezy way of saying I want SUMMON skill!!!


heck all my clerics had it, so why can't I have it here?!?


would make whole lot easier to get group together.

You can make reskits as 0-4-3-4 which is my current spec.


I considered going master at the beginning but I am going master carabineer too ( 5 boxes to go) and to do both I would need to drop scout completly and loose the capability to harvest my meat so decided to forgo it for now...


Honestly the main difference btw a master and my spec is that I can't heal poison and disease and a master will buff slightly better than me( healing wound is not an issue as I have access to D wound packs...).


Buffing secondary stats for 2k is nice too but honestly a 900-1000 buffs from enhance C is more than enough.....


I may do it someday but what is more likely to happen is that I will stockpile a huge stack of resources for enhance D, surrender scout and get master, make like 200 of each secondary stats enhance D packs and then surrender master and get back my scout....


The only thing that would make me change my mind was if master were to get something special ( that or I start getting poisoned/diseased like crazy in pvp).

I think being able to revive YOURSELF would be a cool addition at master, but that probably opens up giant balance issues...
