I'm not sure if this was mentioned before but in case it wasnt here is an idea.

To heal mind it could be done very simple, instead of making this complicated mind could be healed by stims at a cost of health+action. In other words mind sitm B would have same requirements as regular stim B but work as a reverse i.e.: Stim B heals action/health for 300 points at 100 points mind cost and so Mind healing stim B would heal 300 mind at 100 points action and healt cost.

Its just an idea agree or disagree if you like all constructive comments are welcome.

you HAVE to make it so the ability equally drains your mind to what your healing, basicly transfering your mind to someone else.

Why?

Otherwise you'll create a god mode basicly.

I think the best solution is to just let us craft a "Damage Stimpack" which is found as spoils on an NPC. They should only have the minimal effectiveness, 50 base heal for all 3 pools, but just let us experiment on charges. These would be the best sollution because they would not heal the mind very well..I remember in beta when I had no idea of what I was doing and was depleted of mind, I would try to increase my mind but not at a great success.

i may be flamed but... i don't think doc/cm/mm should be able to heal mind. i think it should be a special in Squad Leader. if you consider mind damage as more psychological than physical (panic from snipers, etc) then it fits nicely into the area of squad leader. just make squad leader take mind damage (for the stress of shouldering everyone's burden) and unable to heal their own mind. of course then you have the issue of a 3 person team - 2 squaddies and a combat medic - as an incredibly potent force.

But a stim B can already heal 1k action and health for around 100 mind. I think mindcould be healed in similar way maybe not with such extreme but imagine 300 mind healed say for 150 health and action or something like it.

Ideally, you just don't have Mind damage lead to death. Instead, Mind damage means you can't use specials; you wouldn't die, just would be as effective in combat.

If you allow medics to heal mind damage you are entering god mode. Ss long as they can heal more than someone can hit them for they can't be killed.

This simply couldn't be done the way you're proposing it. As you have it, this scenario could (and I'm certain would) exist:

  1. You take some mind damage and want to heal it

  2. You spend 300 points of health and 300 points of action to heal 1000 points of mind

  3. You spend 100 points of mind to heal 900 points of health and 900 points of action

  4. As you're now at full life, you continue your fight

  5. Rinse and Repeat

You could be essentially "unkillable." Take my character, for example. He has 1100 mind and I can buff my health and action to about 3000. So, unless something could do 1100 mind damage in 1 shot, the only way I could die would be to run out of stims.

The basic problem is there already is a god mode .....

Its a bounty hunter spamming eyeshot, and to a lesser extent a rifleman using mind shots.

It makes all the wonderful buffs and things we can do as a Master Doc ....... totaly useless in the GCW. And to a lesser extent in PvE. Healing in this game is a joke because we are really only 2/3 of a Doctor.

SoE is the one that came up with this totaly imbalanced and unworkable system of how damage is dealt and how it is healed, and if they dont come up with some kind of solution soon to address this .....its going to kill the game period.

From what I read the devs originally intended medics to be able to heal mind damage, but during beta became aware of the infinite pool problem. So they removed mind heals as a temporary measure, then 'forgot' what they had done, creating a whole new minigame in pvp combat centered around mind damage, and rendered all melee classes non-functional in PvE combat.

Currently I think doctors should be able to buff the mind pool, but not the substats. Medics/combat medicsshould be able to heal mind injury with a 1:1 transfer ratio (that is a huge penalty right there). Doctors should be able to heal mind wounds to the main pool only. Battle Fatigue should play a much more significant role in its affect on combat (I have never noticed any effect of battle fatigue on players, other than a reduced wound heal efficiency on the receiving end).
