Well I have been master doc for a week and it's great. I have found that making crates of stims to sell for people is not fun, so I enjoy making enhance and res packs. I made a bunch of money selling enhances the other day and promptly went cloths shopping!

I am lovin the mad dough from the enhances. I have never played a game so much in my life ever before. Carbine is boring and the lvl I am not I am not doing near as much dmg as I did when i was a 2handed swordsmen.

Soooooo i have decided todo TKA because then i can have a comnat proffesion which benefits my mind, AND i take less damage which as a doc that's a great ability to have. I will keep my carbine skills till i have to give them up.

Right now I am like this:

Scout 4-0-1-0 <-- waaaaaaaa dont make my give up my running

Artisan 0-0-0-1 <---- grrrrrrrr stupid waste of 15 pts

Marksment 0-0-4-0 <------------- I may have to give up that one top box and save thge gun for emergencies

Brawler 3-0-0-0 <----------- yay almost TKA!

I think I have like.. 5 pts left.. so yup gonna have to give stuff up..

Just as a side note, you can sacrifice exporation 4 and you won't slow down at all. Exploration 4 only provides a bonus to camo, I believe. That would free up 5 points for you.

For me, I've only taken exploration 1 (I used to be all the way up to 4) and I can still get around pretty well. It's a heck of a lot better than no exploration, I can tell you that. Even with only exploration 1, I only slow down considerably for the really big hills.

No. Perhaps you're thinking about hunting, which is another scout skill, which provides bonuses to CREATURE HARVESTING, but not normal harvesting via sampling or a harvester.

The exploration line provides bonuses to terrain negotiation and offers the mask scent ability.

Yea hunting is creature harvest and creature knowledge.

I like to just keep one box so that if need be I can get some meats, and also to test out the meat qualities places i go to see if I need to have freinds get some for me.

You get harvesting with novice scout, not with hunting 1. Hunting 1 gives you a minutely improved quantity. Not worth the 2 points.

You only need explore 3 or explore 1. Explore 2 and Explore 4 give you bonuses to crawl speed (while prone). Prone is not where most doctors prefer to be.

Survey 1 is totally useless.2 free points there.

So thats 16 free points for you

Actually, exploration 1 and 3 offer bonuses to your walking speed and exploration 2 and 4 offer no bonuses to speed (walking or prone).

As a scout, you get bonuses to walking speed at exploration 1, exploration 3, and master scout. You can then continue on to Ranger where every skill in the Wayfaring line (including Novice and Master Ranger) will increase your crawling speed (while prone). Even at master scout, you can't crawl any faster than someone that doesn't have any scout skills. However, the master ranger that I play with can crawl as fast as I can walk - rather unnerving, really.

Also, the hunting line really does afew of things for you. First, it offers a bonus to the amount of material that you can harvest from a creature. The bonus is nice but, like it has been said, it isn't much of a bonus. However, it does offer bonuses to creature knowledge, which can be quite nice. With that, you can select a creature from 100m away and type /examine and know exactly what type of meat/hide it drops, as well as what resistances it has, and even if it deathblows. This can be VERY useful when facinga new creature. The higher your hunting level, the more info you get to see. And another thing that the hunting line gives you is a creature "to-hit" bonus, making you more accurate when attacking a creature. Again, the higher your hunting level, the higher your to-hit bonus.

If your going TK you should at least keep novice marksman. I kept marksman so I can pull mobs, and with enough practice you can single pull most of the time.

My non doc character is 3132 in scout. How high, in what, do you have to go to know if the animals will gang up on you if you shoot at 1. Nothing worse than picking a fight with a 1000-2000 ham non agrressive animal, just to have it's 5 buddies on your tail, also.

I don't know. You might get a better answer in the Ranger forum than in the Doctor forum.

it doesn't take marksman to be able to fire a gun. you don't really have to hurt the mob to get it to come toward you, so any cdef will do
