Buffbots are a good backup if no docs can be found. Other than that it's not worth the extra time to wait and travel.

The CU is not going to ruin your buffing business. As has been said by many other docs in this forum, there will always be a demand for buffs--no matter how buffs work or how strong they are relative to today's buffs. No need to ring the frantic alarm before any information has been released about how buffs will work in the CU.

I usually don't worry about buffbots because people still like to be buffed by someone that is there, in case something happens. Are you sure the bot is stocked, did the bivoli macro work, is the droid recharged etc... all factors that can affect the outcome of a buff which is somewhat expensive.

I've sat for hours 20 feet away from a bot with 10 people waiting in line for my buffs and no one for the bot. Sure, people go but i don't think they take away from my business too much. I even heard one complain that there are people out there who use the buffbots and don't pay. When people use dancer bots and not pay, it's bad for the person offering the service and it might take away the comodity, but it didn't cost the dancer money. I'd be so worried running a buff bot in regards to that, I don't think it's worth the money.

I am curious though, after 24 hours, how much money does a bot make and what is the profit when including the massive cost for bivoli and medications.

Entertainer buffbots and doctor buff bots are two different things all together. Entertainer buffs cost nothing for the musician/dancer, except for their time--time to give the buff and time to get the skills. Since they're buffbots, the time giving the buff obviously is no factor, since the player isn't there (or at least rarely is).

I would be curious how much one can make from a buffbot as well. I'd never even try to do a doc buffbot, because of all the complexities to provide nice buffs, but I'm sure they make decent money if they advertise enough.

How do ya'll feel about auto buffers? I used to worry about them taking away my business, but seeing as how most people want a buff right away from where they're at (starports usually), I don't worry as much. Now i can just worry about the CU taking away my main source of income!
