Thread: Secrets of the factory

Many of these things have been stated and I've read through many threads on this issue. Based on my experiments with many other assisting doctors I've come up with a work around that will work in most situations.

Crates in factories:

Crates in factories work like crates in inventory, factory click on crates to release and component falls out. Most of you notice that the time at which a item will drop from a crate can range from secs or hours. I call this the "crate weather". Before doing a factory run take anything out of a crate and see how fast it drops. If the time drops in under 3 sec then you can move on. The factory has a 10 sec timer on crate release, if the item doesn't appear in that window the factory thinks it's out of ingredients and stops.

Factory location:

Factories are like any other object. They will lag along with anything around them. Placing your factory within the server zone of a city like bestine and you're going to have problems. When possible put your factories away from major cities or travel areas. This will reduce thier lag time and will stop alot of factory issue and your factory speed and confirm emails will increase.

The Factory hoppers:

Then hoppers function the same as a bank box does. And most know how you need to open your bank box twice or more for the items inside to show up. If your planning to run a product with crates open the inbox hopper and close it again. Wait 1-2 min then open it again and fill. That will give the server more time wake up and work with your client.

Loading hopper:

Load your ingredients in the same order as they are listed left to right. So 100 stim-b would be organic, inorganic, BEC crate, BEC crate, Chem crate, Chem crate, Liquid Crate, Liquid crate. load the crate with the least amount of component in front since the factory click the forward crate first till it's out then moves to the next one.

Check your maintenence:

Remember that stim-b use more power to make so the last thing you want to do if not put enough power or money in the factory.

XP check:

if you stand next to the factory for ten minutes and don't get any xp from it then the factory isn't doing the run. Since the email message either doesn't come at all or minutes later it's a good way to see if it's working before you go off to do something else.

For most people that already have a factory or have made a run before this is restating the obvious but this is written to also help those that hear about these issues have are holding on a factory purchase because of it. I hope these tips help some people out. I have ran 18 stim-b runs now in a row using these steps and will say in my case and for many on my server it has helped.

And feedback is appreciated. Forgive my spelling if I missed a typo.
