Thread: Issue for the weekly corresondant rant
Get them to look at the problem with using advanced components in packs that require identical parts. As it is now, any pack that requires identical parts will ignore the advanced nature of the the component...Simgle components are still effected but not identicals...Thus using 2 advanced BECs gives the same result as 2 basic BECs on a Stim D.
This is a pain the butt. Stims arent so bad, for CMs its a huge deal with it comes to disease and poisons, but thats a CM issue...
But it think overall making advanced packs that recognized identical advanced parts is a overall medic issue...
I just make adv soild shells and adv liquid supension since you use 1 of each in most things.
If your talking about making adv range poison stims then I can see your point. being able to have all the effects with a high end diease stim would be incredible.
It's a bug, it needs to be fixed. I've heard it's a generic factory bug whichaffects any schematic that requires identical components. But I wouldn't know that from firsthand experience. I sure hope they fix this soon ...
snooze when people start to doc buff again after the HAM freeze issue is fixed (if ever) you will see people with HAM in the 6000-7000 range like a rancor...hence the need for over charged packs...
stims arent a big issue, but what about buff packs? wound packs? AOE heals?
a lot more to drugs than stims
The way the crafting works, is that multiple Adv. wouldn't affect the nature of the pack over 1 adv pack.
The slot is only used in the calcualtion once when stats are determined (which is why al lte parts need to be exactly the same.. schematics can't handle doing the math fro more than 1 set of stats on the component slots). The multiple components merely make it harder to fulfill the schematic requirements.
Right anow, anything put in there is treated as a regular component... I ahve no idea how this happens, since the adv. components should have higher stat numbers by default... leads me to believe there is also a "advanced component multiplier" of some kind as well (which is what is broken)...
Definitely a big deal if they ever get stat buffs working. heh.

Fix the factory bug first please!!! Then work on the enhance issue.
Just my .02 credits. (And somehow that seems to be worth more to a Doc than a Combat type.... even with the current inflation).
