I found that it's not needed to go into peace mode. /healdmage self should suffice.

Just as a side note, you still suffer 1 turn penalty even when you go into peace mode right after you fire.

if you just don't fill up your combat cue and pick a weapon with a short refire rate you won't have a problem.

If your a doctor using a rifle then you need to consider another weapon of not fighting when your supposed to be the group healer.

I definitely want to try this, but i'd rather not peace, I'd rather just clear my queue. That way i continue to attack but dont have to worry about my spammed special attacks to finish before i heal. I tried it with /clear but got an error.

Any suggestions?

Definitely a great to have /healdamage self; in a macro.

But I have a question... I had tried using it sometime ago, but was getting an error about no valid medicine, as if I was trying to heal my target, rather than myself. So I still had to do ctrl-1 once, then retarget.

Now, I had asked on the boards if this was bugged, as I had heard the tip about /healdamage self; from here in the first place, but never got a clear response. Just this morning I decided to try it again, and was going to try putting my name in place of self (per another post I read), but tryied my old macro for the heck of it... and it worked correctly this time!

So I ask again (as I still haven't found a post that covered this), was /healdamage self; broken for short time? Or was my client just acting buggy?

The only time I get the 'no valid medicine' when doing a /heal self are the following:

1) I don't have any stim kits in my main inventory.

2) If you use up a stim kit it sometimes takes a /heal self for it to switch to the next kit, so the next one will work corectly.

Ok I dont have to use a macro to heal myself if I am hunting and my life is going down I just hit my hotkay /healdamage *dont change targets* and it automaticaly heals myself. Now if the creature dies before the heal goes off I then get the error.
